Here's the thing, though. I don't feel right excluding the people who do well with a ship during the grind, unlock the next ship, and never look back. Look at wave, for example. He is undoubtedly a good player. He sped through the lines he played and finished ships with a relatively low number of games played simply because he got assloads of xp per game. It would feel wrong to exclude his games.

This becomes a big problem in low-tier games. Who plays 25 games in Sampson unless they specifically love the Sampson or they are AFK/absolute dogshit?

I think with the next iteration, I'm going to have a sliding scale cutoff point. 25 + Tier * 3 or something.

There are a lot of false equivalences drawn in that article. for example, the lower belt of the Iowas and South Dakotas wasn't made of Class-B plate because there wasn't enough Class-A. but because it was more ductile and less likely to crack when hit by a diving shell or torpedo blast.

Class B was also used for turret faces and barbette's because, surprise surprise, its less likely to crack when struck by shells or bombs, and will almost never cause an armored "plug" to be punched out on the inside of the turret when struck. Its designed to deform.

There's also the fact that the "dangerous flooding" of South Dakota was all of 800 tons on a ship with a combat load of nearly 47,000. That flooding was just the void space in part of the TDS filling with water, which would happen in any ship with any sort of TDS. The list was corrected by just shifting fuel oil around, it was never even close to being even a slight threat of sinking the ship.

It's a tough choice, i love secondaries but i am mesmerized by the stories of Tirpitzes blowing entire squadrons out of the sky with their long range battery.
There's another thing, german BBs have very bad medium range AA until they get the 55 mm Gerat, so AFT wouldn't be of much use if not for the secondaries.

You'll never hit anything with the extra AFT range, your angles are just too awful. You can comfortably invisifire without it, so there's little to gain there.
DE is not all that useful, since your fire chance is very low by default, and you should be removing DDs instead of trying to burn down battleships.

Your guns are good, but you can't brawl head to head other DD's, so you're better off staying at max range, gunning down people. The range increase allows you to comfortably fire while invisible, which is insanely useful in late-game carries, when the enemies that remain are too smart to get caught in a torpedo wave, so your best bet is to slowly HE/burn them down while invisible.
You don't need SE, since If you get engaged by an enemy US/RU DD, shoot it a bit while evading. If he's competent, you turn back, speed boost and use your smoke to cover your retreat. If he's not competent, you kill him while evading every single one of his shots, and save your smokes for another time.

Your guns are insanely good, but your ship is big and gets detected easily. The line plays like light cruisers without citadels, so you need every bit of extra range.
Arguably, you can even forgo CE to instead take a second T4 skill. After AFT, your best second choice is DE. You could also get a third T4 skill and go for SE, but I'd rather take Vigilance to do a better job as picket ship in front of the fleet.
