To be honest, I'm not overly sure how they'll expand it in a way that captures the essence of the original. Evenicle had a very strong building of relationships and interactivity between the various girls as well as the MC, and now that that's already been built, how will the sequel use this and still create an equally interesting game? Like, I'm sure they'll introduce new girls, but if they get introduced into the central group, that'll dilute the depth it has, and if they don't, it'll cheapen their importance. Maybe they'll have to separate the original girls at least temporarily to give the new ones time in the limelight? Introduce new conflicts/backstories for the old girls to keep their storylines interesting and fresh? It'll be very interesting to see where they go with it.

You can sell units in any troop for money, which is one of the best uses for prisoners. See that's the thing, the original Angel that "rebelled" against god was Lucifer (and it's actually a really interesting story, that) and Satan as I understand it is more of an amalgamation of the multiple others that came before him.

Also take great caution when researching the history of the Bible as that is one hell of a contested subject, you'll be hard pressed to find any consensus on legitimacy there. In that bit you cited for example it's stated that "the Satan" is a title, which basically dances around the Satan's actual identity (often Lucifer, as far as I could tell)

That said, even using the cited descriptors Satan is never described as a demon, just as having demonic qualities as those are traits rather than species, and he's the ruler of demons, which still usually applies to the devils anyway.

What bothers me is that if you do even the slightest bit of research into the terminology you'll come across a plethora of differences in many different contexts, there's really little excuse to think demons and devils are essentially the same, beside the fact that they're both traditionally examples of extreme evil.

It also fits so damn well with the Ranceverse, the devils seek to trick humans in ways that force them to forgo their part in the reincarnation cycle, while the demons just wish to brutalize mankind for their own amusement.

Regardless of what you may think though, Fiend just doesn't work, Fiends are often lesser demons or descriptors of obsession (just to go with a common example; dope-fiend) and as creatures of evil they never seem to outdo the classic Christian Devil as a primary antagonist.

I still challenge anyone to find me an example of a prominent Fiend in commonly known literature/culture.

I've never looked into the finer details, but it's basically useless. To memory, it reduces the total number of troops that the enemy ARMY has, meaning that some commanders could lose 1,000 while the others only lose like 10. It's probably good if you spam it, although I can think of much better things to do with SAT Bonuses. The biggest issue with it is that the castle battles are still scripted, so the Bonus does nothing when you need it the most.

I think you overestimate the implications of that, remember the original Christians faced a lot of persecution by Romans, it's actually not an uncommon thought that several original biblical texts were destroyed.

Not to mention that, as I've said before, the actual original Bible is one of the most contested discussions in Christianity, since apparently most of the disciples ended up writing their own version of the book, and many variations sprung up over the years, many interpretations, many different translations etc. etc. To claim anything definitively on the matter just doesn't work, such consensus doesn't exist and we can reasonably assume much of what would be needed to prove things definitely are lost to time.

Eh, there's plenty of interesting/entertaining characters, Kou, 3G and Suzume are all pretty great. Kenshin has an interesting dynamic with Rance but she's a bit bland herself. Isoroku is mostly shit and she's barely featured in her own route.

Let's be fair, both of them are completely optional and don't get much attention other than 1 scene a piece and some very standard events. I think the Quest polls do a better job showing how popular they really are
