In any case, what I'm thinking of is going Cryo1/Link1/Thaum1/Sorc2/Necro1/?? so I get to afk farm with Necro, actively farm with Thaum and have fun with Sorc. What I'm worried about is not having enough burst damage to kill stuff with Swell Body once mobs become immune to decay/bind meaning I'd have a really, really hard time bursting stuff down.

Maga spear or brandish? I feel like you would get more damage out of maga outside of bosses.

It was a match between two small teams, so framerates were 5v5 tier.

The new map is much better than the old one. It doesn't force everything into choke points, so people can spread out. That should help with performance a bit, but I'm still going to run user.xml edits. Turning drawactorpersent down to 15 is really essential to make gvg playable for me. With that, I was able to get 8-10fps while spectating old chokepoint faceoffs.

It limits the number of player-owned objects the game draws at once to 15, instead of the usual 99. For some reason (people are theorizing about the game blocking on server updates) player-owned stuff destroys framerates. Lowering the number also staggers model loading on initial contact, so you don't have to load the entire enemy team all at once.

The downside is some important things will be invisible and they'll pop in and out right next to you. Test it out in Fedimian ch1 if you want to see how it works. It's not so bad for me since Temple Shooter will autotarget them anyway.
