The best way to get into modding is to have an idea and start small. It's very worth it and if you get good enough you can make your own stuff without depending on others. You could always get a feel for it by making a custom house.

You don't really need to learn how to model, there's a ton of resources out there, depends on what kind of house you wanna make. Scripting, is alittle annoying but really it depends on what you wanna do. I find vanilla skyrim has plenty of scripts in-game you can copy from and see how it works, that's how I was able to add hearthfire stuff to my custom home.
I haven't gotten into armors too much, so I can't say there. The only time I do anything with armors is to delete things no the armor I do not like. But basically anon, you'll never be able to do it if you don't try and trust me it's not as hard as it looks.

It's not that Nocturnal is holding out on you until you get the Key. Without the Key in the Ebonmere her influence CAN'T spread to Nirn. She's literally incapable of giving you Nightingale abilities until you return the Key. But, you've already agreed to the contract. That's what's important.
Also, I don't think Nocturnal gets your soul eternally. At the end of the questline, the dialogue between Gallus and Karliah makes it sound like, after a certain span protecting the Sepulcher, your contract is up. You (or, rather, your soul, for what difference that makes) are free to do whatever. A lot of nightingales choose to go to Evergloam, though, since it means they can become the Shadow that aids and protects all thieves.
I agree that Bethesda really should have given players another way to solve the questline, but that's a problem with Skyrim in general, so eh.

I used to use a script extender on fallout games....made my game horribly unstable....and it was a nightmare when things needed upgrading.....for skyrim it was the same--the new version of SKSE was incompatible with older mods....or new mods needed the newer SKSE thus forcing me to mess around for hours upgrading.

Let me tell you a little story.
Once upon a time, there was a website in which people could post anonymously, which makes it so people are judged by the content in their posts instead of how they look or how old they are.
Everything was fine and dandy until the concept if 'tripfag' was created.
Tripfags were mostly a non-issue and not much of a nusaince because people knew how to ignore the ones that tried to turn this website into Myspace.
That and the fact that mods were actually channers and posted on the very website they moderated would mean you would quickly either get ditched off or banned if you acted like a massive faggot begging for attention.
Then avatarfagging and regular namefagging came.
Regular namefagging was never too much of an issue because tripfags know people can just hijack the name and act like massive faggots, whilst claiming THEY are the namefags. So, namefags are mostly cool people who refrain from derailing the discussion and most of the times actually helping with it.
Avatarfagging, however, was the beginning of the end of 4chan as once knew it.
Avatarfagging essentially meant you could dodge all the rules regarding tripfagging as long as your post remained on topic.
Thankfully, Moot saw that this was quickly turning the website into a massive cesspoll (along with the fact that tripfaggotry suddenly became a thing again at the exact same time); however, it was too late. His attempts to stop the worst kind of people from coming to this website and becoming regulars were in vain.
Common regulars actually became used to this whole using an avatar to identifying yourself. This wouldn't be much of an issue if this website didn't attract all sorts of bad people. Literal autists, ponyfags, etc.

To be honest, even after playing a lot of it, I don't really know. It's pretty weird, and there's a lot I don't understand about what's going on. But despite that, I give it credit for its sheer ambition and its attempt to tell an actual character-driven story in Skyrim. It's not like there are a whole lot of other quest mods to play anyway, and even among those that do exist, most don't make much of an attempt at a story.

Alright boys, gather around. Let me tale you the story I've read on /x/ a couple of months back pertaining to Skyrim. Mostly the Elders Scrolls.
The Elder Scrolls franchise, in itself comes from a simple dungeon play and seek sequence where you the player, has to free the king from an evil wizard that's impersonating him. The thing is, orginally, the game was to be released on book, using the quija system in all together to pertain the story. Of course, this was scrapped off, but some sinister ideas later oozed into the games under the forms of books. One particular anon, said that if you collect a certain series of books, hidden around the game and complete them, the game then turns to celebrate you for discovering the 35 lessons of vivec. It then pauses you to the main menu, where, allegedly, a photo of a staring woman is shown before a recorded video log is spoken. The man, distressed, speak of wanting to stop writing, but someone or something doesn't let him. The voice was later recognized to be from the actual writer involved in most of elder scrolls lore. The anomaly reward, albeit dubious, is without a doubt creepy to say at least if we regard the mental history of the writers for the elder scrolls games, with most of them suffering from disappearances to suicides.

I've seem you repost this quite a lot, it's always driven me nuts that I missed some obvious edits I should have made (I always liked this one, wish I would have saved the source file desu), this is quick and dirty, perhaps you'd enjoy it more though. Except the Lessons debuted in Morrowind and they're clearly referencing Arena at the beginning. Plus the Lessons aren't very deeply hidden, and anybody can easily add them all to their inventory if they wanted to.
It's just so incredulous it's a wonder anybody even tried.
