early game -kai don't really need books as much since they usually start as stiff and are more resistant to that change. A serious life works better on B+ ranks that get carefree/loafer as attitude, which allows the jump to be more significant.

do befriended yo-kai have their stats altered based on their current level and attitude?

they all have the same attitude when you first befriend them. Stats differ because of some IV system going on in that game as well. To an extent, it can be modified via reset or by fusing a yokai (apparently bonus stats for fusionkai rather than befriending an evolved one), but honestly I wouldn't bother with it for the first game.

When you get a Yo-kai minion or weapon, the game plays the respective tribe's Dream watch summon melody without the lyrics, it sounds really cool.

In WibWob, how many times do you need to collect a yokai after the initial recruitment to max out their soultimate?

I think i remember reading somewhere that it's like a total of 36 times to max it out. The final two levels you really see how little you get per level. like 11 and 8% per recruitment.

You could also use soul books but they're a much rarer resource in Wib Wob than the main games.

That Nobu has to be hacking, he's like leaps and bounds beyond people using as far as what i can tell pretty optimal strats.

In the second movie. Enma was testing Keita, Jibanyan, Komasan, Inaho and Usapyon with challenges for example Keita becoming a Youkai and showing his human his life is worth living. He gave Keita his medal because he knew about the battle that was coming and the parts that they and he would play in it. Enma believes in this world and the future that, Youkai and humans can work together as friends and allies to make the world a better one. Really great movie.

Depends. Whisper in YW2 (along with some of the main characters) adapt more of their anime personalities if that is your thing.
2 does have some more tricky bosses and harder post-game stuff.
Can't really comment about pacing, but supposedly there's a more centric plot in 2.

A mix. There will be old and new available as you play the game, but in most cases S ranks are locked to post-game.

Some of them are locked to qr codes though, so it'll be up to Hasbro and/or Nintendo to release said medals/codes respectively to get them. I believe that's the jewelnyans/fruitnyans/cat recolors mostly, though there are a few others (robots, region-specific kai, etc)
