There are still team that run Frost for the sake of traps and another roamer on the team as well as Castle because the ratio of shitty defenders to good ones is high. No problem. She works best if you're playing with a team willing to let the timer run down, not if you're playing with people that aren't patient and try to CoD it. I start the round by grabbing armor and trying to take out the drones before placing my mats, then once we get them all/timer runs low on match start I place them not in direct walking paths, but where I expect enemies will end up sidestrafing to dodge bullets and places not in direct LoS of a window. It requires killing any drones that get into the room, but even when they have knowledge of the traps people still fuck up in their panic to get in the room once you've held them off till the timer's almost up.

I definitely wouldn't call her a must pick in any scenario, but she's fun to play, has a good weapon and her traps aren't detected by IQ.

I love the Canuck Sten, but I don't understand why she has it. JTF-2 has never used it irl, at least to my knowledge. I mean JTF-2 is one of the most secretive CTUs in the world so not a whole lot is known about them, but I highly doubt they would use that over the plethora of modern SMGs.

Play Ranked (it's an extra round at minimum) Mark like an asshole during the drone phase. Just rack up those ID and scan points as much as you can. Play low skill auto shotty operators on defense, like Valk, whose blackeye cameras will net you 20 points each for just throwing it.

You only need a score of like 1500 or something, cause once you win that fourth match you'll get the end of match bonus, the win the match bonus (2000), the round bonus, etc etc etc

Really it's not hard, but it could take a game or two to get. I had a shit game or two before I got it where I couldn't get any kills.

Yeah, there seems to be a lot of shooting through walls while praying fervently, as well as prefiring absolutely everything. I have learned a few interesting things though, like shooting a single bullet hole through a reinforcement in the setup phase increasing your ability to hear out there, and breaking one piece of a bunch of reinforcements to mindfuck the opponents, or just shoot them through one of them when they finally feel safe.

Did Ubisoft reveal anything new for siege at gamescom? Haven't been following anything coming out of it.

I wish they had a small bio about Recruit, about his excitement on getting acceoted to team Rainbow and wanting to not let his fellow teammates down. I like reading the backstories of the operators.

I just learned recently that recruit has different armor depending on what armor level they are. I never did look closely at them. I know that recruit are suppose to be the starter ops for people who just start. But where do they fall in the balance of operators? Attacking Recruit is a decent "you got fucked in the loading screen" operator. They have a variety of gadgets you can use, such as the FBI shield recruit who can take a 5-7 or the 1911 (your choice), a frag grenade, breaching charges. FBI Shield Recruit used to be the fastest shield operator in the game, making him the games secret operator.

Defender recruit is severely lacking, because he only gets 1 wall reinforcement, but GSG9 recruit being 1 speed, being able to drop 3 barbed wire, have a nitro cell and an MP7 or 870 is pretty good to have on some maps.

But in the end, he's not a good pick all the time, and sometimes can be a really bad pick. But if you get stuck with him in the loading screen you can make him work, assuming you set up your loadout

Check out the combinations you can do with some of the recruits, you can do some funky stuff with some of them (like the one you just suggested)

If they carried 2 grenades it would make up for not having a unique gadget.

All this talk of recruit makes me want to dick around in casual with one. But when I first got my operators, I said fuck the iron sights and got sights for all my guns. I don't think I can go back to an iron sight world. Some gun's iron sights are just god awful. I have a friend who has operators, but only play's iron sights. I don't know how he can deal.

The only "cheeky/sneaky" spot I know is this ledge. If you blow up these two circled walls, you can either shoot from Bedroom safely into that room, or even cross into there with the ledge. It is very situational, and depending on the enemy team, objective placement, and how secure they reinforce that spot, it may or may not be worth it.

Frost use to have Nitrocell and she use to be OP as fuck with it, too many traps and KD/Kill potential without even using her Shotgun (which was insane)
I think they just need to change how explosions work in this game, it's retarded how a grenade going off upstairs or in the next room through a unbreakable wall can still hurt you, or nitrocells on the other side of a window frame can kill someone even when you have a distance on the explosion.
