Why is it that every hero I want to play is apparently dog shit?

I told my friend I wanted to play chaos knight and he says "Chaos Knight is shit and can't farm. Very poor carry, easily countered."

The other problem with supports is the fact you can't recover if you are losing. Lets assume you are losing. Enemy is ahead by like 6 kills and 3 towers or some shit.

What the fuck can you even do as a support. You can't solo kill anyone. You can't farm because your cores are busy catching up by getting whatever farm they can find.

What the fuck can you even do besides wait until the enemy fucks up.

Thats another thing about dota 2. Come backs only happen when the winning team does something dumb. So the losing team spends all game just waiting for the winning to fuck up. The losing team doesn't "overtake" the winning. The winning team just throws the game.

You effectively cannot do anything yourself. You always need a core to help or cover your ass while warding. Only certain supports can "make shit happen"

And certain supports in this game are actually shitty supports too. For example, pugna. Shitty support and a meh core. Literally no reason for him to even be in the game right now.

The only supports worth a damn are ones with hard CC or a game changing ult. Thats it.

you can be a 7k carry in a game with 4k allies against 5k opponents and you'll lose 50% of your games no matter what you do, because the odds are so stacked against you

valve matchmaking has one thing enforced very well, and its the fact that you don't have control over whether you win or lose.
