Dear Capcom,

Regarding your latest Monster Hunter game, which has been out for over a month now, and well, the general consensus is that MHGen is a step down from MH4U, and while I do find it enjoyable, I have to agree with them. This game feels like it should have came between the third and fourth installment of the franchise, and what we're left with is a installment that feels, well, rushed.

There are so many minor issues I have with this game, the fact that they changed the skills for the Volvidon armor set, a favorite of mine, amongst those said issues. But one of the major issues I have with this game is the sexist Housekeeper feature. Seriously Capcom? this is 2016, it's time to modernize with the rest of the industry, considering you've already faced criticism from mainstream critics for the way you portrayed Mika in the latest Street Fighter installment, with her slapping her own "fragrant", well, you know what. Why you decided to include this patently offensive Housekeeper feature in MH Gen is as baffling as it is frustrating for a self-actualized feminist as myself.

Ultimately you dropped the ball when it came to this game, I've had the game for a month and I've only played it a meager 50 hours, compared to the 150+ hours I've played the previous MH games. Seriously? Your job as a game developer is to make me want to purchase your games, and you should do so by appealing to the intrests of your audiences. We want monsters, we want story, and we want good armor skill sets, none of that sexist crap. At the end of the day, your bottom line as a company is dependent on my money. It is time you appeal to my austere values. I am unique. I am special.

Maybe somewhere along your way, your so-called "business model" made you forget that.

If you look closely he destroyed not only his pants (the button and zipper), but his belt doing that. And it was part of a matching suit, so now he can't use the jacket any more, meaning he lost at least $100 doing that because he ruined his entire outfit.

Furthermore with his pants ruined and him more than likely in a public area, how does he intend to get home? If he has a car, he still has to go down the building and to it. Is he just going to keep his hands in his pockets the entire time? And what he doesn't have a car? How is he supposed to take the train with a destroyed pair of pants and belt?


They really didn't think this scene through and it disgusts me that people would save it.

Why should all skills EXCEPT FOR Adrenaline +2 and Felyne Heroics be banned? The only logical answer is because it would make ranged weapons have vastly superior clear times.

Long story short, they're asshurt that the top slots would be consistently held by LBG, HBG, and Bow if the banned stuff was allowed. Their logic is that it "imbalances" the time attacks, mostly because ranged weapons have little risk of using the low HP tactics, while blademasters can't really use it reliably.

There is no guide on actual strategy of how to use the CB. I'd like to ask a few questions.

1: Are there no openings to use burst without GP on most serious monsters? I find myself stuck in sword mode because I don't have enough time to do anything in axe mode. When I GP, the monster is positioned in such a way that I can't hit them with an AED. How do I correct this?

2: Is staying in sword mode alone for most of the hunt (i.e using burst only on downed/ stunned monsters) viable? I end up doing that anyways, but I'd like to know if that's what I should be sticking to.

3: If I can't use the CB, is the DB a good alternative for a "stick to the monster" playstyle? Are they viable?

Positioning is all practice. If you can't get an AED from GP, you can always GP from shield thrust (X+A twice after any attack). The strange arc it has becomes second nature after a while.

You'll be in SnS mode most of the time. You can always get an axe blow in here and there from GPing, if you don't have time to AED; otherwise, you'll always want to AED. You can also get some hits in if you notice an opening from charging your shield--just press A after loading phials.

GS charges add an elemental modifier now. Few other high MV weapons got an elemental upgrade as well.

LBG will post respectable times with rapid pierce and normal without sacrificing mobility.

pierce shots are hard to aim sometimes anon. Even in the best of situations they rarely out damage normal shots with WE.

Some monsters though, ones with hidden weakzones or hard to reach ones, are absolutely wrecked by them. It's just a matter of knowing which gun is the best for each monster.

Gunning is expensive, not because of the mats but because of the need to have 20 guns and 5 or 6 sets.
