In fact roaming was even more effective pre Black Ice since much of the time the entire team WOULD be in the objective room. People would actually go INSIDE the building to breach multiple angles, which game roamers juicy targets.

Nowadays you just see people breaching the outside access point 9 out of 10 times because fuck exposing yourself to 5x Nitros in Roam City. Why the fuck would I go inside when around any corner there could be an auto shotty waiting for me?

Jaeger. He'd be only 2k renown for you, and he's a good operator. The gadget can be a lifesaver now that three attackers have frags

Ignore Montagne and Castle. They're both useless shitters, although Castle can be useful if you're coordinating with your team and have a Mute. Montagne is beyond redemption.

Otherise, it's the usual order.
Valk, because the cameras are never bad.
Capitao, because he's Smoke on attack, and has crazy kill potential between the crossbow, frags, speed 3 and good guns.
Those are the top choices.
In no order:
BB is also top tier, but likely to take a nerf. Steer clear at least until you have the above two ops who are unlikely to receive targeted nerfs.
Frost and Buck are nothing too special. Frost makes vaulting over anything dangerous and can win games in the last 15-second rush. Buck has frags, a good gun, and a free shotgun. Beware that his masterkey has trouble breaking open walls and may require far more than the one or two that used to be the case. This may be an intentional nerf or not.
Caveira is a"win more" operator. If you're good at roaming with the likes of Bandit, you'll do great on her. Otherwise, ignore her.

Dear Valkyrie,
Please stop throwing your cameras onto the ceiling. Most especially the corners of ceilings. It makes them obvious, easy to find, and is typically the first place any opponent will look.

A camera on the floor will often actually see further, because it is not obscured by door frames. It is also harder to see, and few enemies look around the floor.

They can also be hidden around objects easier this way. Underneath benches or chairs, inside tubes or pipes, even inside drone holes. Hidden well enough, a camera can tagspam infinitely.

You have guns and explosives that go through walls. You also have two drones that can check areas for you as you move. There's also an operator that will specifically tell you where he is if she's on your team.

There is literally zero excuse to get killed by a roaming pulse, ever. The games I play at plat3 he is used primarily to make callouts and help Bandit meme on Thermite.

And if you play Pulse and don't use his shotgun, you're just full blown retarded.

Yes, it's only the level. Ranks have nothing to do with it, which is why you can find yourself ranked up against a team of plats while your team has unranked or silvers.

Play the single player operations and clear as much of it as you can, watch all the tutorial shit, etc., and you'll get enough for a few operators.

The DLC operators take time to get because once you buy the regular operators you'll probably want to start equipping attachments to the weapons, which also can take up a lot of your renown. I just bought the season pass to get them without grinding because I have a job and am not a poorfag. Plus the game is good enough for me to want to support it so there will be more content in the future hopefully.

As for which operators to buy first, play some games as recruit and you can get a feel for which ones you'll be safe buying. Buy some that you like and some weapon attachments and then you can start playing and banking some renown for buying the rest. Don't try to buy them all right away, some aren't even worth getting.

Problem with Glaz on Border is the walls aren't plenty and there are way too many areas that require you to get inside in order to have your sights on them. Favelas is Glaz territory because of how there's too many walls to reinforce, so you can always get an angle in a room.

There are two things that I look for in maps to even consider going Glaz: distance and exposure. If I need to get on those death-traps-balcony-thingies to get a view of a room then it's a no go for me; and, if the distance between me and my target isn't even that far then there is no reason for me not to go as an ACOG carrying operator.

Plane and Favelas are the only ones that I run Glaz majority of the time. Chalet is situational because it does meet those requirements to a certain extent, but the objective placement can make or break it. Every other map is terrible for Glaz.

i just want them to make his rifle consistent with the damage it gives in menu. i've dealt 40 damage out of the 129 that surpressed ots is supposed to deal to a bandit at about 10 meters. 1 armor ops are supposed to take something like 80% of the damage given in menu, let's say rook armor take off another 0.9 of original damage, he should be taking 90 damage. somehow 10 meters on his rifle managed to make a 40% reduction of damage through fall off and various gypsy magic.
