Rom is easy, kill all the spiders and go ham on Rom. Beast Blood pellets and bolt paper get the job done real quick.

Yeah, 70 Arc is for spells, but you still get a little bit of weapon damage especially when your scaling is S+.

For reference at 50 in a stat you are getting 85% of the bonus damage you would get at 99. So going higher doesn't do much, but it all adds up.

All weapons have inate Arc scaling that's only active when you put Fire/Bolt/Arc gems on it. Most weapons it's around D or C. By using gems to improve it to S and above you get more damage than any combination of % gems.

The damage formula is:

{[Base damage] + [Base damage] * [Scaling number (find it online)] * [Satuartion, at 50 this = 0.85] * % gem * % gem * % gem} * attack multiplier + Flat damage.

Arc Beast Claw works just as well as any other converted weapon, Beasthood doesn't do anything for non-physical so you'll just be taking more damage for no reason. I guess you could cosplay Darkbeast Paarl, but Phys Claws with Bolt Paper will look cooler.

Converting Chikage/Bloodletter/Bow to Fire etc... Doesn't work, those gems won't do anything.

There's no logical reason why we can't have a Arcane/Blood Chikage. We should be able to convert any damage that isn't a weapons gimmick. A Bolt Burial Blade (that keeps its useless Arcane damage) would be awesome, as would a Fire BoM.

The way everything connects is incredible, there's 4 unlockable shortcuts and heaps of different ways through the area, plus it's huge and manages to make do with one lamp without ever feeling like you are too far away.

I spent 6 (SIX) hours killing Cleric Beast, this game is fucking nuts! I've never felt such satisfaction (from a gaming point-of-view).
I'm running a str build with Hunter's Axe and dat dere Kirkhammer for my first run, and I'm having a blast.

The Healing Church was an offshoot of Byrgenwerth founded by Laurence('s corpse). Before then, Byrgenwerth basically razed the entire fishing hamlet, kidnapping its denizens and scooping their brains out in search of eyes.

I assume their discoveries led to the Healing Church creating the monstrosity that was the research hall.

Yes, before the Healing Church was founded and before blood was really being used, all Byrgenwerth cared about was lining their brains with eyes. Laurence was the one who started experimenting with the blood which Willem objected to, but that was some time after the hamlet incident.

How did I miss this? I've been using the damn thing since the day the DLC came out, and I always assumed it was like the cannon. Dont tell me the Church Cannon has a gem slot to!?

Anyway, what should I put in my Gattling Gun? A 31.5% is the obvious answer, but if my Math is correct a BSB 28.7% + 8 Flat would be slightly better. Or would an-offshape Brainsucker gem be better? 72 Flat Arcane and ~10% Physical would give a higher number, but suffer from split damage. Unless Gattling Gun behaves wierd with Flat damage due to its firing nature.

Shame poison gems dont work, I actually have a Circle Rapid Poison gem somewhere, but they dont do anything on ranged attacks.

What are the best gems for an arcane damage damage LHB? Right now I have a waning Cold Abyssal, a triangular 27.2% Arcane ATK UP, and a radial 23.1% Arcane ATK UP. I'm guessing the best thing to do at this point is to grind Watchers for a 27.2% radial.

Why the fuck is the Saw Spear somehow weaker than Saw Cleaver? I know it looks like it has a longer reach when tricked and better moveset but still...

Any advice for Orphan of Kos' second form? I'm playing offline otherwise I'd have just summoned someone that knows what they're doing. The few times I've managed to get him to the second form I just kind of skitter around in the water until he summons lightning, then end up getting hit by him while I'm distracted.
