Hidden Path currently working on and making CSGO. Apparently when Hidden Path was working on the game it was in very bad shape which led to Valve taking over
Bad Robot being the only developer of PASS Time. PASS Time was also being worked on by Escalation Studios who were the ones primarily communicating with the community, not entirely Bad Robot.

If Valve has an Icefrog then the game wouldn't be a complete fucking mess. The current TF team is three people, which would be okay except for the fact they clock in at 6 hours played COMBINED in the last month.

Seriously, what fucking thought process do these people go through that leads them to think they can balance a game based off of that?

Dota 2's dev team has around 20-30 people clocking in over 50 hours EACH every month and they still occasionally have massive blunders.

Oh yeah, Dota 2 also separates new heroes (available only in unranked or ranked AP) from balanced heroes (available in every format), while TF2 just says "fuck it, you can use every weapon in competitive it's not like anything's unbalanced here"

it makes me angry but that's because as a sniper main i see it as a sort of unspoken etiquette that if you equip the weapon you don't care about a fair fight or how much fun the other team has which makes you a cunt. but on the other hand, outwitting a dds sniper, which isn't hard when they're brainlessly hardscoped, is made more satisfying in that way because of my bias against it. it's like killing a class that's meant to be your counter, i can tell you that when i play spy backstabbing pyros is much more satisfying than backstabbing medics. like even with a huge advantage you're still overcoming them so you can't give them that chance to feel confident.
