Also in case you didn't know, you're looking for Boomerang Pro + Earplugs on a cat with Piercing + Big Boomerangs, ideally it also has Shock Trap and Dung Bomb.
You can't get Last Stand on any cat except Charisma naturally, you have to teach it.

Each bias has two exclusive moves with one being teachable and the other not.
To have a usable palico you need both piercing boomerangs and emergency retreat which are exclusive to fighting and support bias respectively. This makes those the only two types used.
You could use a different type but then you're going to either be doing no worthwhile damage or you won't have any reliable way to heal yourself.

You don't even have to dodge to avoid it, just don't be directly next to him when he's charging and walk between the orbs when they're released.

The only annoying one is the purple multi hit one, but that doesn't hit all the way around Lagi.
