You can still login to your original account from the launcher though, since it uses the same DFO launcher, you just won't get any steam achievements since it's not tied to your steam account

The avatars are bonuses at level up milestones, the target levels are for the event shop currency. You get the last one at lv60.

Everything good in the shop costs 200 total, so everyone should be picking 60 and going upwards unless they can't get to cap in the event period.

first character should probably be a fixed damage class so that you can roll through dungeons without any issues.

Due to the dungeon and scenario revamps, you can run through dungeons without much difficulty as any class pretty much, but most fixed damage classes just steamroll the fuck out of it without any gearing other than the free stuff you get from quests.

Asura is a really good starter due to high fixed damage and the high level of utility he brings with his freezing and superholds, as well as a ton of AoE skills. If you've already got something in mind, you should probably say so.

New player here, completely new to this general too.
I did a little research and I think Witch is the most fun class to give my start into this game.
Any tip/advice for starters? Should I care about any specific build or gearing?

Avenger is fun but pretty awful late game, Exorcist is solid enough right now, but certain end-game sets of theirs are hit pretty damn hard further down the road. Crusaders have been 7 levels of OP since launch and always will be. Monks aren't awful, but definitely aren't for new players. You need to learn a unique playstyle and they require moderate levels of funding.

The male fighters are mostly percent classes requiring moderate+ amounts of funding (except male brawler who is painful to play as until around 50 where it gradually gets bearable until 75 where you become a thug and steamroll anything that isn't an end-game dungeon.)

Female Fighters are all pretty solid except brawlers who needs a very specific set of gear end game, they also don't have anything to safely approach enemy mobs or large aoe until way late into the class.

witch is a hybrid class last I checked with some fixed and percent skills. Not the greatest of starting characters, but definitely solid. You should have the SP to max everything until you get to around 60, from there you can just drop whatever you don't use or don't like. Tons of AoE skills make clearing rooms filled with mobs a breeze.

Witch is fun/cute, and won't take an eternity to get strong later on. Its a safe bet. You have infinite skill resets and the game takes care of your equips during leveling so do whatever you want.

DFO players have a bad habit of information overload for people who have no idea what the heck they're doing, when it really doesn't matter yet. So just disassemble any uncommon pieces of equipment and Play Your Anime World!

F.Mage was one of the first characters and thus suffers from shit tier design from when they made it - the skills look disgusting and feel disgusting when compared to newer, better designed classes.

If you just want to be an f.mage for the sake of being an f.mage then by all means go ahead though.

It's just that none of Witch's """meta""" builds are fun because they're all just RFF or Collider. But for leveling and if you're not a super tryhard, Witch is totally fine.

And frankly, I'm not entirely sure that the Koreans actually know how to play this game that well. It seems like 99% of their builds are "boost this one cube attack to crazy levels to do tons of damage". That's obviously fine in Anton, but it runs into huge issues for farming and stuff.

all the fighters are pretty good except for Female Brawler which is mainly only used for a junk spin assist.
All of them require quite a bit of funding and most of the male variants are better than their female counterpart besides Female Nen.


For Priests, Avenger is pretty shit except during leveling content, crusader is one of the best cause support characters are broken, monk is a lot of fun to play if you like his style but his damage output isnt as great as you would expect for the learning curve he has, Exo is good, has 2 different setups phys and magic both are pretty good, also very easy to play through most of the game.

Helps if you search the class in Korean and a dungeon name and/or filter by date. Searching for dnfvideo is also a thing because Koreans like to upload shit without renaming for some reason.

Don't worry about your gear. As long as you're equipping the right kind of armor for your mastery, you'll be fine. Once you unlock Otherverse you can start looking into Chronicle sets that improve certain skills, but Otherverse can be a big step if you jump in ASAP. It's a lot easier when you hit 86. Other than that you don't have to think about not being geared for content until you hit the level cap.
