Parsers are fine. You're allowed to use them but apparently you're either not allowed to admit that you're using one or you can't use information from them to harass other party members. I forget the exact policy. I think officially it's the former, but in practice it's the latter. I recommend Advanced Combat Tracker. Just don't be a dick about it in easy content. If you actually raid though it's really useful.

Yeah lots of people. Advanced Combat Tracker or ACT is what you want. You're fine using them, but I would be wary of openly discussing DPS numbers in duty finder or using a parser to bully/shame people. Usually it's the sort of thing you discuss with your static or over voip with friends but sometimes you'll run into randoms, particularly console players, who will ask for numbers. I wouldn't give them out in that situation.
You won't catch a permaban if some asshole reports you, but you probably will get a warning or a 1-3 day (and a black mark on your record which may make them discipline you more severely in the future).

The quality boost you get from a touch is based on the "base quality" (derived from your control stat, and it's not a 1:1 ratio, more like 3 control: 1 base quality) and the tier/level of the item. That's just what I found from googling for a minute though so it may not be correct.

When I heard about Guild Wars 2, the features spoke to me. They were what I've been looking for to break the shackles of constraint I felt in World of Warcaft, Warhammer Online, and varies others. When I heard about the Hall of Monuments, I picked up Guild Wars a little over a year before Guild Wars 2 released.
When I rolled a Paragon I nearly cried because Nightfall was predominantly black characters. Then I became fucking furious because Paragon was a joke; the constraints of your typical MMO started rearing their ugly heads the further I got into the game.
Whatever Guild Wars 2 did to the lore from Guild Wars I'm fine with, I don't have too many fond memories of it to cloud my judgement.But I have heard there's been some inconsistencies people have pointed out between the two games.

from someone who is fairly experienced with crafting a great deal, with adequate stats you can still hard macro it with great success for high quality much of the time
if you have full ironworks at the moment with max cp melded, it is more than plenty to hq I'd probably guess around 80-95% of the time, and failures you can just turn into something more valuable, there's a certain CP threshold that you no longer -need- to ToT for, but hasty touch/RS rng can still screw your craft and not ToT'ing leaves more room for error obviously.
that said you should probably only take around 2 minutes to do a craft like that paying attention, even with just some i180 pieces, I miss ToT's left and right while not paying attention and still have a very high success rate, basically the equivalent of crafting with a macro except just faster, since you're doing ingots you can always just boost the item to an eikon thing or something
tl:dr yes you can, get the best crafting gear and meld max cp with max cp food, just turn any nq's into an item that is hq instead of selling
also I am entirely talking about starting crafts with 0 quality in this scenario, if you are using hq mats it should be painless

Do you think it's possible to make a macro with muscle memory or is it pretty much required to use maker's mark and like 14 lines of flawless synth?
That's really the part that takes me the longest, if I could somehow use muscle memory + a few piece by piece and maybe ingenuity 2 + a few standard/flawless synths at the end that would cut the time in half. I'm afraid to try it with anything valuable, but it seems like you could do it in theory maybe with an HQ mat or two added.

3. Whispering dawn.
4. DPS and reposition the fairy so it focuses the MT.

I think you can craft it faster using muscle memory and some tweaks to your rotation, but the chances of success is gonna go down. While the flawless synth lines are often for the sake of ToTs, something I do in my rotation at least is I use PbP before I start all the flawless synths, going makers mark -> cz -> sh -> pbp -> fs spam
The major problem with what you have in mind is the rng, if your macro fails those RS during ingenuity, the craft is fucked for sure. Macros are for the sake of doing it in a lazy automated way, but you're kind of trying to make it even faster and more unreliable/rng reliant
If you mean to do the craft faster by hand, I think you probably can pull that off yeah. I like to use innovation though for giant byregot bombs at the end
I might be underestimating ingenuity 2 + cs2 though, if that is good enough to do the craft, then you have hope using that method for sure, but I think you need a ton of CP for that as the 32 from ingenuity not only is you spending that cp on ingenuity, its you not getting that free progress while getting all your cp back from cz

Oh also it honestly could just be bad luck. Hummel is a really short duration so if you don't get good crits it could just tank your dps for the encounter. I really do suggest looking at a guide to at least see what other people are doing in terms of optimization, though.

The arcanist kept healing me, but i also had to suplements his heal with mines, on me and on the thief. Cover actually saved the thief twice, convalesce got me back from the brink at least three times, and the fast Blade/riot Blade combo with fight or flight got anyone out of the geostimas with 2 rotations, very fast.

Especially if you're not the only new guy (or you've got a party full of shitters) and people are taking unnecessary damage/not pushing phases fast. It's something that comes with practice. These people linking 90-something percentile healer parses didn't just sub to the game and one week after hitting 60 they are putting up orange numbers in A8S. Most of them have been at this for some time.
If you're cleric'ing at the wrong times in fights you've been clearing for weeks or months, you gotta pay more attention to the boss' casts and when damage is going out. A lot of your shit as the WHM is gonna be precasted, you gotta know ahead of time something is coming.
I'm nowhere near as good as any of these people posting parses, but don't get down on yourself it takes practice.

a static culture where people give advice to each other and they can take that advice and discuss it like adults instead of being passive aggressive cunts is just the best way to foster improvements if they're the type of player that actually has potential to improve
I don't tend to judge people by their "initial" skill, but by how well they absorb information and how fast they learn.
I've met a lot of ok/"good" players over the years that when you try to tell them things they could work on/explain mechanics to them it's like talking to a brick wall, and even if they can sometimes parse well, having to explain to them how a mechanic works 100 times before they finally "get it" makes it not worth it if you actually want a static worth something

Why the fuck are the catch up gear raids limited to 1 loot per week? It's catch up gear. The whole point of it is to close the gap of side jobs with your main job.
Why the fuck are lores still capped? The current tomestone shouldn't be capped after 2 additional patches since they were introduced.
The whole shtick of this game is "one character, 13 raid classes; be versatile", but all the welfare gear is capped so it's completely impossible to have 13 jobs ready to raid on one character.
I can understand limiting "da best" gear behind loot lockouts for just the main job a player chooses, but it should be plausible to grab enough gear to have the other 12 jobs one tier behind them via grinding; and it'd be a fucking ton of grinding to boot.
But no, instead we get event after event of grinding FATEs or grinding months old content to kill time rather than improving our character in meaningful ways.
SE has the worst, most short sighted, most inept MMO dev team that I've ever suffered through. Nothing they do makes sense within the establish game. It's like a completely different dev team made the core of the game, and then a separate team, with no pre-existing knowledge or experience of the original project, took over from there.
It's jaw-droppingly baffling.

No it's not because even if you do gear alt jobs, you're never going to really need them. Now if Yoshi was competent, he'd find ways to encourage playing multiple jobs. It's the whole appeal of this MMO over other MMOs.
Compare it to their leading competitor, WoW. In WoW, playing 5 different classes means leveling 5 different characters. However, in WoW you would end up with 5 different lockouts for weekly and daily lockouts/bonuses, and in the end you would end up with 5 equally powered classes.
In FFXIV, you take one character, go through the leveling process 5 times, with less and less quest xp available each consecutive time you level a class, with no MSQ xp available after the first leveling process, and you have just 1 lockout for weekly and daily content to distribute among 5 classes.
However, you can just roll multiple characters in this game, get separate lockouts for all of them, have a fast leveling process thanks to the MSQ, and by the end of it have 5 classes all geared for endgame simultaneously; and there's so much downtime between content that it wouldn't be a struggle to do it.
The lockouts in this game mimic generic MMO lockouts, and they don't at all make sense with the job system. It's a mess.
