Ardor is now more powerful than thunder ever was. Mono-thunder never had a noteworthy backline or frontline. They were just carried along by a capable 4-man mid.

Ardor back is currently the best in game. Choi/meta/Victoria is the best midline.

Elaine is the top frontline totem in the game and her 3-man line is as potent as other teams 4-man fronts.

The root cause of the problem isn't Elaine or Victoria. It's the effectiveness of reflex with minor or major differences and the lack of CAR availability through stones and units. No one complained about these units when you could hit near the CAR cap. Nerfing them won't stop reflex bullshit either, it will just limit the options of more people.

Virgil is really strong but he wont always prevail. He's much better on the active players team than he is on the person you challenge. If you fight someone with Virgil he's most effective and most vulnerable on the outside. If he's in the middle of a line he will have to ram through 2 people at some point vs most teams. You can easily take advantage of this and reduce his effectiveness and options.
If you're u[set he's everywhere, just look back at other strong healers and wait for Gaphyl to come up. You won't cry about Virgil then.

18 Months ago we didn't have the same devs we do know.
Within those last 18 months a handful of those strikers had various periods of complete garbageness and usefulness in pvp/pve

My suggestion is to make it so there's diminishing returns on reflex buffs

Let's say you have Nerua ace, Bell and Lynia in mid

x1 for first (biggest) buff, x0.5 for second biggest, then x0.25 for the third and rest

so 35% from Nerua ace, then 30 x 0.5 = 15% from Bell, then 25% x 0.25 = 6.25% for a total reflex buff of 56.25%. a lot more manageable and discourages reflex stacking

then change Victoria totem to 40% reflex and 20% crit to ardor players within the position

I was thinking something more along the lines that 10 point of difference shouldn't give flat increase in probability and shouldn't be linear, but something similar to logarithmic curve. That way, there would be a soft cap and stacking overly high reflexes wouldn't hurt opponents as much if he's not also not running reflex oriented team. Also, it would give equal treatment for lines with single high reflex buff totem and lines with multiple smaller buffs totems.

Isillia's survivability is a joke because she has too many conditionals and is balanced around being a GK that brings a totem that helps her backline for the first half of the match.

Kei is still susceptible to taking a gigantic amount of damage on the first shot and only really shined against utility strikers, however the last patch buffed most of their damage output so now he's a lot easier to deal with.

I use Lucid and I'd rather go up against light gks than ardor ones.

Is there a reliable way to deal with a backline on a uriel team? They are all perpetually at 100% AB and full health since they run 3 healers but recover every time Uriel touches the ball.

You kill them but they sit there with full action bars even in death and suddenly come back to life and take a turn. There is nothing you can do about it.

I have a very fast team and the only way I could win was to wait for all three healers to be on cooldown and then kill every single defender. Took forever for the win, and this wasn't even a good uriel team.

Isillia is an easy 2 hit KO, but for the first 15 minutes of the match anyone who reached the front had 5 defenders swarm the ball holder and then refill their action bars.

Without it their gks are typically weak and their striker won't do much damage so it goes from being an annoying match to a free win.
