I've just migrated from Adept SnS (140+ hunts, my only weapon so far) to Adept Lance and I've felt the major bump in difficulty. I was starting to feel a bit bored with how easy the game felt and I realise now that it's 90% related to the ridiculous i-frames on the adept roll.

It's tough at the moment but I can feel lance becoming one of those super satisfying weapons.

People who unlock HR at rank 10 didn't play the game at all - they had between one and three friends play it for them, and then they whine about how the game has 'no content'

I could hunt boring G. Jaggi's with any weapon and it wouldn't bore me for ages. Even with no progression, just a shitty Great Jaggi and some white weapon.

The lack of g-rank makes MHG really suck. Nothing is really balanced and everyone, including gunners uses the same set of skills on their weapons. Bow users don't even have a choice of crafting more than one bow. Even if you try to play another bow for fun people will just make fun of you for playing a shitty bow that was made only for padding out a weapon menu and giving you the illusion of choice. This is on top of the terrible color sharpness modifiers.

Is the hero blaster any good in terms of HBG? I think honestly besides a slightly smaller mag size and like 20 raw for 10% affinity it's basically equal footing to the Shaggy Maggy HBG for normal, but has more options everywhere else it looks like.

Basically does anyone else think it's a fair weapon to substitute? I don't care about le ebin fastest TA builds but I also don't want to shoot myself in the foot in terms of using something that is SERIOUSLY worse.
