For future reference, the main CPUs join in Chapter 5 if you raise the respective nations shares to I think 50%. Chapter 5 is also where the endings start to branch off so make a save before you fight CFW Magic for the second time if you want to experience the Conquest Ending if you've got a broken brain.

I finally completed VII. Got the ascension ending and then went back and got the revival ending.

I teared up quite a bit during the ending. Funny that a game about humanized consoles could give me such strong feels.

Definitely the best game in the series to me even if there were a few spots where you either had to grind or get lucky to win a battle.

No, they used the "power of begrudging teamwork" to defeat Arfoire, then used Histy's power (that could only be unlocked with all four of them present and willing) to wipe out all the monsters.

Planeptune and Lastation was already in trouble prior to the start of the game. Lowee and Leanbox were pretty peaceful. They only fell into trouble during the course of the game, due to the machinations of Arfoire (and Ganache, I guess).
