Old timelock only dealt 70 damage. Timelock deals 125 damage now, you're only missing out on like 15 magic damage per bash.

But what really sucks is that his W is so easy to deal with as a carry and adds literally nothing, while his old W was really powerful. It feels like his bash and ult are for one hero, but his Time Walk and Time Dialation is for another.

He's still great as a rightclicker carry, but he doesn't have the durability of Backtrack anymore.

What classifies a "worthless" support? I am talking from a hero stand point. My friend was saying that worthless supports typically don't have a stun or some truly impactful way of changing a situation.

For example, a support like lich. Lich has a ult that is unreliable, easy to play around and easy to avoid or mitigate its usefulness.

LION has two hard disables and a massive reliable nuke. In a perfect world, why would you ever pick lich or lion?

It seems stuns and disables rule dota and if you don't have a stun or disable, you will be fucked.

lich doesn't dominate jack shit in lane. His primary nuke is incredibly mana intensive which kind of forces you to level sacrifice up a bit. So you can't really take advantage of maxing nuke.

It's all up to the flow of the game and what your draft is.
Lich offers you a very strong laning stage and guaranteed denial of exp and gold to the enemy offlaner or carry. Lion offers you good kill potential and some decent harass but he can't dominate a lane the same way Lich can. Plus, Lich has an extremely strong aoe slow that can't be purged, even by spell immunity, on a very low cooldown. It's not a hard disable but it's guaranteed 4 seconds of kite against a melee hero if Lich can land it before the carry pops bkb, and Ice Armor is strong as fuck at all stages of the game.

If I wanted to protect an Anti Mage and get him guaranteed farm in the safe lane I'd want a Lich.
If I wanted to kill an enemy Anti Mage I'd want a Lion.

Veno isn't useless, but there are better supports to pick and offlaners too. Plus, with the introduction of Glimmer Cape, his offensive potential is vastly minished, plus this meta relies around regeneration (with heroes such as Slark and timber being strong), and Abyssal being a lategame item granting 20 HP regen, it makes VenoMancer's power level lower than normal metas allow for him to become.

Bracer is SHIT. Don't fucking buy it. Drums is SHIT (unless you are a support who needs int and some movespeed for some dumbass reason you fucking noob)

If you want to fight, participate in more fights. You can't have a fight without a teamfight, and if you want ot fight more, CARRY A TP SCROLL AND TP TO FIGHTS THAT ARE ALMOST STARTING, you sound pretty new so it's easy to forget.

Skywrath is a good support, but in lower brackets, many supports end up being ATMs for the enemy slark, riki and juggernaut. It's better to pick an annoying and powerful hero who isn't that easy to kill and can still teamfight well while getting support items.

Roles aren't set in stone, this isn't league, Nyx can easily transition into a core with a full on aghs build, but yes, there are a lot of supports that aren't very good in pubs right now, for example ones that rely on teamwork and synergy with your team.

1. Core venomancer is game losing unless you're so far ahead the enemy can't kill you every single fight. As support he's underwhelming past laning stage but provides high utility and can defend pretty well with wards. Exceptional at screwing over blink initiators who like to hide in trees

2. Bracer is a great way to tank up a bit when you have a lot of slots open and aren't likely to fill them soon. Usually only bought when you're getting your shit nuked as a support and losing pretty hard. Otherwise building an urn or something is more practical.

3. Position 4 roamer: Riki and Spirit Breaker are my favorites. Offlaners that go off to fight at 6 are good as well: Nyx, Sand King, Pudge

4. Not really, all heroes in the game serve a distinct purpose and if they suck you misdrafted them or they're too high skill for you.

Well, in my opinion EG could've definitely taken Shanghai, it could've gone either way especially because of how badly Secret had been performing post-Frankfurt. In fact, that's the reason they kicked w33 and Misery despite the Shanghai win

Reminder that Dota is like a bathtub, and water is farm.

In high MMRs supports are the people who stay out so that the carries can get washed.

In low MMRs it's a lot like high MMR, except instead of 5 adults you have 5 babies, so there's plenty of water for everyone, and one of them probably drowned by now.
