I got some real terraforming for you.
>Expand plains village to another nearby village in a meadow biome
>Finally get to doing so
>Dick around elsewhere, etc
>Want a volcano mod
>Look into BoP, has a volcano biome
>Install
>Peaceful meadow village becomes dangerous murky bayou with sneks ready to gang up on me

I lack a before pic, but I was shocked myself to see such a change in established chunks.

What do you guys take into consideration when building something to live in? I always think in terms of, if I went to sleep in my bed tonight and woke up tomorrow in a bed in the Overworld, how livable would it be?

Are there walls and a door to keep the elements out? Is there lighting to see by? Food to eat and a drinkable source of water nearby? Or am I just completely fucked?

I'm thinking about putting the platform on stilts and flooding the area. The platform will have individual huts. A dam sounds cool though.
>>

In my vanilla world, I was more worried about surviving than building. Though I did build many underground tunnels with some rooms for sleeping, storage and forging. Everything was either in the open or underground. Of course, crops were nearby.

Torch posts, makes it pop out more and look official. The way you are set up you don't have much visually competing with it so its fine as is. If your base grows too much and the scene starts getting crowded I'd review removing them.

I think he's looking for a map overlay. And no, there isn't one. I know there's a command somewhere that lets you instantly see what is in the chunk, but you have to travel from chunk to chunk to see what's there.
>>
>>150888528
Well, what are you looking for? There are some basic things like Reinforced Diamond, and the Keeping Inventory mod. But I agree some mods add too much bloat.
>>
>>150887986

Also, any suggestions for a Mountain fortress in survival? I found a seed with a single mountain placed in such a good spot for a base.

Yeah, simple stuff. Things that feel like they should be in the vanilla game.

>dinnerbong is not mojang
as far as the PC/java version of minecraft goes, yes, he is. jeb fucked off to play with the pocket edition exclusively over a year ago, and most of the others associated with minecraft don't even have code access, just "starting shit by running their mouths" access (see: grum who thinks you can load mods by pasting URLs in ingame chat), and whatever else there is to "mojang" is filed away working on the other shit with that brand name on it.
the "head designer" was notch when he was around. and then he quit because he hated basically everyone working for mojang. and dinnerbong's been left with little supervision since, focussed on making minecraft "his game" because he hated notch too. he's the root of a billion "hurr notchcode" memes and yet his coding is actually worse.
>>
>>150889231
Ancient Warfare generate some structures on the world, you should low the generation rate as they tend to spawn a lot.
They have some hostile npcs that are pretty much like Zombie Pigmans with iron swords and some snipers with bows and they come in a fortress like 10-15 least and like 30 most Im guessing tho.
They are pretty stupid but fun to attack.

Do you have Xaero's Minimap? That's as vanilla as it gets, and damn convenient for a game like Minecraft. Here's my current list.

Incoming criticisms
>>
>>150889680
Notch didn't leave out of spite; he left because Notch is crazy and he wasn't dealing with fame and player pressure well. And as soon as he hired people, he stopped being the head designer just because he stopped caring. (A shame, since he's actually a good designer).

And DB still had the meetings with other mojangstas, they decided stuff together, even the ones who knew shit, leading to inconsistency.
(And besides, DB is a noob as designer.)
>>
>>150890142
You have a really comfy modpack my dude, I would add some decoration mods and more mods to enhance other aspects of vanilla but it looks really cool.

Using multiple drills would just be more hassle, not less. Just use the command.

/ie mineral get

It gives you the kind of ore and the amount of "depletion." Far as I can figure, depletion starts at 0 and gets up to around 72,000.
>>

>>
>>150890684
For my trees I use Naturas fork and BoP, there are a lot of comfy mods that better vanilla.
>>
>>150890684
Try Garden Stuff too. It lets you do a lot more with plants, adds some cool decorative items and lets you make smaller decorative trees out of any kind of tree you have. Plus the mod author has really good documentation on his Github.

This is one of the main reasons why I point people to Nonsanity when anybody has any questions about AE2. He knows how things work in the mod, and doesn't go into detail about how to craft all the things. He just says "This isn't a from-scratch tutorial, this is a tutorial for if you're already established and have the basics set up already."

Those are the best kind of tutorials; where it doesn't treat you like you're seven and learning the mod for the first time.

Fuck, I just remembered. There's no simple way to remotely detect the presence of fire aside from commands. There are also few mods that have a system that allows the extinguishing of fires without resorting to deploying water source blocks.

Thaumcraft has none, Shitania has none, ExU only has Watering Cans which is a tool, IE and TE both have tools that accept liquids. I think only the Sprinkler from Openblocks fits the purpose perfectly, but it also smothers the surroundings with water particles.

My best bet would be a block or system that consumes mB of water to immediately remove fire blocks within a certain range. Even better if it allows fire over Netherrack to persist.

Moving to C++ won't help against sloppy coding - it might even make it worse. Minetest lags above 10 players and has horrible FPS; Freeminer, its fork, as well ad Eloraam's game, both use as much RAM as Minecraft.

As for Minecraft, how are you going to build a community even a fraction of its size/creativity?
>>
Also, modding will still require some kind of higher-level JIT language on top, saving you very little in the long run.

C# is probably a better option than Java due to being more permissive (I can't believe that still) licensing-wise.

So I've started playing Minecraft for the first time since Alpha or something and just went with the Skyfactory 2.5 modpack. Only played vanilla until now. Holy shit this is a totally different game.

The modpack is a bit memey (why is there a fat guy dancing when stuff burns and what's with all the bacon) but actually had a lot of fun so far. A bit grindy in the beginning, but once I had a cobblestone generator working it's been all good.

I just wonder why the fuck there are a billion alternatives for cables/ducts/pipes. I've mostly settled on Ender IO pipes for now because you can have multiple types per block, pretty neat.

Already have ore sieving and smelting automated, getting added to my ME system (storage only so far, looking to get into autocrafting). What to do next?

It's not quite as dangerous to hotswap mods mid-playthrough in Minecraft as it is in Skyrim. Most of us spergs with custom modpacks are always tweaking things. Sure you should always make a backup before attempting to make changes, but there's not as much risk with Minecraft.

I honestly don't know how people figure out what changes to make without playing. I sat down and made a list of things I could think of to Minetweak/Modtweak, but once I actually loaded up my new pack for the first time, I realized I'd forgotten sooooo much stuff.

So, I guess I'll post here my idea for the mod. I'll pick a beta version and branch the design completely.

In a first moment I'll get the stuff already in the game and develop it a bit better:
* Larger world height. I'm aiming for y=1k, but 512 might be enough. It'll run fine, at least better than current versions. [It's a SSP-only mod after all]
* Rework stairs and slabs into a microblocks-like system. Nothing fancy... just 8 or 27 microblocks per voxel.
* Underground biomes. Just ~6 different types of rocks should be enough. I want to give them some gameplay impact though.
* Biomes and altitude are considered apart for worldgen purposes for that sweet terrain unpredictability.
* Biomes should have interesting mechanics outside "look pretty".
* Dimensions revamp. Depending on the version, The Nether should be already implemented; I want six dimensions (OW, fire, water, air, earth, end).
* Minecart improvements. Choo choo motherfuckers.
[Should I keep talking about this?]

>>
>>150950424
>Larger world height.
>six dimensions
so you want people to need a NASA supercomputer to be able to launch the game and still only be able to play the game at 10 FPS?
>>
>>150950620
Fine... I need to organize my ideas anyway.

>>150950968
Because people totally need supercomputers to play Myscraft, right.

The larger world height might be a concern, but again: I'll aim for 1k if possible. If it isn't, I'll go with 512 instead. And it should run smoother than 1.7.10 or 1.10.2 for sure.
>>
>>150951303
Mystcraft has a memory leak issue thats gone unaddressed for at least a year.

But hey, fuck us, right? Give it your best go and see if it works. Minecraft is janky as shit so there's no telling until you try.
>>
>>150950968
I don't see why additional dimensions would make the game any harder to run. A generated/loaded chunk is roughlt the same regardless of what dimension it's in.
>>
About the dimensions: the main problem was never just lack of content, but lack of point. The Nether and The End are kinda pointless (specially The End), except for stuff Mojang pretends not existing (as mob farms).

So what I'm planning to do is: four dimensional planes with portals in the Overworld pre-built. All of those will have desirable resources for the player, as well something that allows the player to access the fifth dimension.

The way to obtain said resource will be different accordingly to the dimension:
* Fire - fighting for drops
* Earth - mining for ores
* Air - building something
* Water - exploring/diving

None of the above will have some kind of fast transportation like Nether portals. If I allow player-built portals, they'll correspond 1:1 in distance with the Overworld portals.

The fifth dimension will be barren and empty, but it'll allow fast/instantaneous transport through player-built portals. The first one is pre-built; all the others need to be linked manually.
>>
>>150951708
This is a bug, not something intrinsic from dimensions. As >>150952351 implied, as long as unloaded, they won't waste CPU cycles... and if loaded, well, the OW will be unloaded.

And again, I'm planning this for beta. The game used to run far, far smoother than now.

Me neither mostly because the vanilla potion system is so shit. Why use any potion other than splash of instant damage? It's not like you can hypnotise creepers and send them towards enemies.
>>
>>150963294
>Not using Regeneration potions
>Not using Strength Potions
Though I will agree with you that the current potion system is poorly implemented. I would like to see it revamped, and possibly an advanced brewing system using the Cauldron implemented (like Witchery, perhaps) which can give potion effects in a small area for a short period of time. Like a mini beacon that you can get earlier than fighting the wither.

I know Infernal Nodes spawn shitbag exploding wisps, but do Sinister Nodes spawn furious zombies in the Nether? Its on my list of things to fuck around with today but if someone knows off the top of their head it would save me some trouble.
>>
>>150963678
Why haven't you learned?
You don't "want" to see anything added to vanilla minecraft.
You want some modder to do it, and do it better, because mojang cannot into anything correctly.
They're like KEEN sans physics.
>>
>>150960169
I have an instance of 1.4.7 FTB Ultimate, and it boots up in like 10 seconds. Even 1.6.4 packs load up quicker than 1.7 packs.
>>
ded
>>
>>150963953
But witchery already does it pretty well, and localized potion effects are done by like three mods already.

Mojang needs to stop going "What would be cool" and go "What can we steal" again.
>>
>>150966704
Unless they do what KEEN did and put it under a license where they own any modifications you make but the code itself is open source, I don't want mojang to do anything themselves.
But such a license would spell death to organized modding as it is now.
Not like that's a bad thing.
>>
>>150966704
They should just steal everything. Seriously. What are those little modder faggots going to do to stop M$?

I wouldn't be saying this 3-4 years ago, but I'm getting kinda tired of seeing every other modder trying to turn this shit into their day jobs.

Honestly I want to see a standardized energy system put in place. RF is probably the simplest and most widely-known, and makes sense in the fact that Redstone = Power in minecraft logic. The numbers need to be balanced against the Coal Standard, though.

Same amount of coal used to produce power, for equal amount of ores processed/things smelted.
By default one coal = 8 things smelted in vanilla furnance, so that's how it should be balanced mod wise.

>>150975054
Though most of the "basic" tier things could probably hold like 16-24 Furnace Operations, which means you need to figure out a way to store said 100 Operations. unless at a constant use. Granted this could also use the mb standard as well, and an advanced system that makes 10mb of Lava = 1 FO within the Coal Standard.

We're working with mechanics already in the game, and not just "Make reactor, store trillions of RF for god knows what" with the thought of Vanilla first.

Anybody here got experience or is using GTech 6 right now?
I'm wondering what exactly happens when I switch something to true on the unification config.
>>
>>150989816
Last I checked, "unification" means that any other version of an ore dictionaried item automatically turns into the GregTech version.
>>
>>150989816
Setting it to true means that it'll choose that specific item to unify it to. With GT5U, for example, if it detects Railcraft it'll default to using its versions of metal plates.
>>
>>150990456
>>150990209
So, it basically means I need to go through the whole thing and set to true whatever items will cause issues with their specific crafting recipes right?
I've been encountering problems since the very beginning for tconstruct, cant craft shit, it turns all rods into gtech ones and the recipe does not accept those at all.
>>
>>150990832
Yup, just set all the TiC items to true. I don't know what having to versions set to true would do though, so make sure to set the GT stuff to false. You can also disable unification entirely in the main config file.

In what sense? On 1.8+ you can technically use addSubstitutionAlias to replace arbitrary blocks and items, but it's buggy - cpw is taking in bug reports, however. On 1.7.10, CoFH uses their own hack in CoFHCore, while Reika uses his own, inferior-quality (requires "revert" mod if you want to uninstall DragonAPI) hack.

>>
>>151082148
I forgot but you could probably use the keyboard events, there's ones for when the key gets pressed down or if it lifts up, it triggers. If i remember correctly forge has terrible support for adding onto vanilla keys or keys that are used by multiple things in general, so that might be out the window, but it could work.

You could also try using the player - extended data class that forge uses to add on extra nbt data to the player, with that you could make a cooldown lockout for the teleports, say it's an integer and teleporting adds 20 to that nbt and it degrades every server tick back to 0 or "open".

There's probably better ways but that's what off the top of my head.

I'm learning how to mod now, using a bunch of tutorials.

One of the things I'd like to do is implement some kind of artificial selection for both animals and crops in a way that, with enough dedication, players can have high productive crops and animals.

Using the cows as example, what do you think about the system below?
>milk has a nutrition value and can be used for more stuff
>cows have a cooldown before being milkable
>cows can be bred for milk, leather or meat production, but breeding to buff the production of one nerfs the others
>more leather production = darker cow
>more beef production = larger cow
>more milk production = you can check it by milking the cow and waiting

Do you think this would be a cool system? Would you use a mod like this?

Changes related to other animals I'm planning:

Pigs - viable riding alternative to rough terrain, while minecarts are more convenient for commonly travelled paths. Can be selected for litter size, meat drop, speed or carrying capacity. They should be the best meat producer, so people would only kill other animals for food in their lack.

Chickens - feathers vs. eggs. And [totally not stolen from BTW] they need to eat before dropping an egg.

Sheep - wool regrowth rate, meat drop [yup, reimplementing lamb], color. Color wouldn't impact amount of meat or wool produced.
>>
>>151090102
this totally, for me atleast depends on how epic the biome looks
>>
>>151097315
pigs are already a cow competitor, or they would be if players didn't need leather (goes away if you have a rotten flesh to leather mod which is in many mods.)

>carrot patch = 3-4 carrots per block. -1 to yield for replanting.
>wheat = 1 per block
So by supporting farmland, pigs do better, except for the leather and except that carrots might be hard to find.

That's part of the problem. Why bother with pigs plus cows, if just cows are enough?

>in a sane programming language and with a proper mod API.
The more i think about it the more i think that the *correct* mod api is no API; what i really want is something not too unlike how modding already works in MC, in a language like MC is already in; one that supports reasonable reflection/dynamic linking. A "good" programming language would kill modding as we know it, since you can't really mod an optimized machine code binary in the same sense as we mod Minecraft. What I really want from a minecraft clone is a not shit core implementation.

while mc was still finite in size (that is, indev), the array chunk format made sense, but now an octree or similar would be much smarter. Also, the way entity ticking works is sort of unfortunate, you can't (easily) do a single tick worth of work and yield to other entities; for a bunch of things it would be better to keep TPS high and each entity type decides on its own if it's okay to 'slow down' based on things like game balance or distance to a player. Even the pathfinding function built in is all or nothing, you wait until it finds a path or give up completely, you can't say "do 30microseconds of pathfinding and give me the best path so far, starting from this already half done round of pathfinding"
>>
>>151101581
Octreecraft alone would be a good enough game. Screw mods or anything else, the creative potential it has is way more important.

Here's Cube 2: Sauerbraten. It uses octrees for map editing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnSteFn9404

The real difficulty with octrees comes from having different sized things interacting properly. How do you do water flow if some channels are 8m wide and others are 0.125m wide? It gets complicated and slow quickly.

She is a competent coder as long as she gives enough fucks about the project, unlike the 1.4.7 rushed version [because she was busier playing DOTA 2].

However, she can't design for crap, most stuff she implemented was either "borrowed" from other mods or from RL concepts. And yeah, she left W without a single use.

That said, I had plenty fun in 1.2.5 with nothing but RP2 and then Thaumcraft.

Nah, i'm not even proposing a game that's radically different from minecraft; it's irritating to me that the basic reason that we have such a limited build height/resolution is because going much further than 256M/1M uses too much ram or makes rendering too slow.

as far as water flow goes, People smarter than me think that octrees are a fine way to do CFD.

>pigs

dude. cows are like. twice the size of most pigs.
>>
>>151108080
That's really not the best benefit of octrees. Resolution.

Fixed grid resolutions have to make a trade-off between maximum detail, view distance and performance.
Octrees don't have to make that trade-off. The maximum detail is higher in areas that need that detail. You can still make your dirt houses with meter thick walls, but you can also make elaborate statuettes, 128th the size but with equal geometry.

Simply: Infinite local detail potential
>>
>>151108532
if you want realism he could accomplish this by making pigs have larger litters and mature faster. it takes a cow 2-3 years to be reach butchering maturity irl
>>
>>151108927
Uh... yeah thats exactly what i'm saying. I look at it this way, an 3d array uses basically n^3 space, N being something like the length of your world, in voxels. An Octree will use only around n^2. Also, ray-marching in an array demands approximately a linear amount of work, depending on how far the ray ultimately goes; but raymarching in an hierarchical space map does constant work most of the time (it takes the number of steps needed to reach the maximum resolution.

Actually capturing very high resolution in general (like the video you linked) would be a different enough game to belong in another general.

The resolution in that really isn't very high. See this pic from this vid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cF7DFyH4u8A

It allows both cubes and wedges.

While Cube 2: Sauerbraten is a quake-style FPS, this kind of thing could work in a minecraft-like game. Instead of placing blocks at a fixed size, just have a material volume based inventory and allow players to place blocks of varying size then chisel/slope them afterwards.

>>151108532
That's why I included litter size.

Also, the focus is not realism but fun, so even if I need to make pigs drop more meat than cows, and then what? Ideally people will use cows mainly for leather and milk, not beef.

>>
>>151111662
I stand by my original statement then. That would be a very different game.

As a game to play, i think minecraft works because of what it doesn't have, it's not a realistic game that perfectly simulates the look of the real world. Instead it gives a course abstraction of familiar concepts in a way that a person that has never played the game can grasp in seconds.

A fancy map editor is not a game, and i'm a lot less interested in aspects that are outside of actual gameplay.

TwoGrave's "right click on grave to restore inventory to where it was" function is pretty good - but it only catches normal, baubles and TCon inventories. I use OpenGrave to catch the rest.
>>
>>151112974
I am much more on the creative end of the creative - gameplay spectrum, but I understand what you mean. A lot of this detail-adding is not important for pure gameplay mechanics.

However, octrees for detail still allow you to do the minecraft dump 1m cubes everywhere. It just allows people who want more precision to get to use that precision too. Creating, saving and sharing small pre-fabs would widen the range of "blocks" avaliable. Something even more gameplay-minded players would get out of it is that it would finally allow proper chairs and tables!

I swear I don't know why this keeps happening, but every time I try running Minecraft using Forge I keep crashing and getting this log in return.
I've tried reinstalling Minecraft, using MultiMC, uninstalling Java and reinstalling it back in, and it will always give me this message.

I can play vanilla MC fine, but I can't do so using Forge. I've been trying for days now, and it's driving me nuts.
>>
>>151126521
>but for what purpose?
Gameplay diversification and enrichment.
In other words, to encourage players to do different shit instead of the same shit over and over and over again.

>just to force the issue because you want to eat more pork?
Cows are desirable because of meat, milk and leather.
Sheep are desirable because of meat and wool.
Chicken are desirable because of meat, eggs and wool.
Pigs are desirable because of meat.

Are you noticing that the only resource pigs drop is also dropped by the other animals, thus making pigs pretty much useless to raise and kill?

>and where exactly does "fun" enter the equation of "I have to find and breed pigs because the modder decided that I shouldn't be eating my cows"?
If I didn't want players to eat their cows, I wouldn't add beef and mutton to the mod [remember, it's based on beta, only pigs dropped meat]. And the player can select cows and sheep for meat dropping if he so desires.
However, in the long run, players who also raise pigs and select pigs will be rewarded by pigs being overall more productive.

More to come.

You make it look like a Herculean task. It is not - finding and raising animals in Minecraft is fucking easy. And oddly satisfying.

Also. I'm aware this is a sandbox game, but I want to make it more interesting and deeper than just the old "dig three blocks down, put one up your head and win the game".

Yeah I know skyblock per se has some grind due to the need to sift for stuff. It's just that IE skyblock is even more grind on top, e.g. getting just 1 stick per log. Why would you do that.

The falling off is just the worst though. Usually cheat in the lost items to recover. Nothing worse than to lose 1h+ of grinding.

Ugg, why are modders adding support for MCMultiPart? Didn't anyone learn from Forge Multipart? Give it a year and they'll think it was a big mistake, then we'll have another two-year-long gap where the mods won't be updated because it's too much work.

Yes, people learned from Forge MultiPart. That's the entire reason MCMultiPart was made - because people learned from it. Nobody considered FMP's idea a mistake; all the dislike was on the execution, primarily the massive bugginess which was closely related to the amount of hacks FMP used to get things like interface proxying working, which is not necessary on 1.8.8+ with capabilities, as well as the general overcomplication of the code. The fact FMP was Scala didn't help its popularity among modders either.

Everyone did it for a good year or so with BuildCraft to get any fluid API at all until Forge (via CoFH's PR) added its own. We all do it with energy APIs. Back in the ModLoader day, ModLoaderMP and AudioMod were both secondary - but highly used - APIs.

Also, MCMultiPart is MIT and on at least one occasion (TechReborn) a mod simply forked it into itself when things started going south for a while. Effectively, that's not a problem at all as long as the license of the secondary API is permissive - Redstone Flux was forked for 1.8 for a few months until CoFH came back to release an official update.

If you're looking at mb/t then sure. But what about RF/mb? RF/m2 as well.

Judging by the picture, it looks to be a 17x17x11 reactor (15x15x9 interior). Assuming that it is a checkerboard pattern and is filled to the brim with Cryotheum, Optimized for RF/mb would put it at 95% rod insertion for 148k RF/mb at 42k RF/t.

My design that I have in my base (16x16x7, seen >>150886579 ) outputs 23k RF/t with loosely 139k RF/mb, using far less rods and much cheaper materials. Sure you can put the rods up to output more, but again having them in a checkerboard pattern is wasteful of the reactivity potential of the reactor.

>>151213593
>>151213752
Still, you can generate more rf/mb given you shove the rods close together and have both a conductive and radiation block in the reactor. Traditionally it's Resonant Ender and Gelid Cryotheum, but Destabalized Redstone and Graphite are just as fine as these two materials.
>>
>>151214304
at 95% insertion it puts near 40k
>>
>>151214473
It should level out to 42 after a while. However the statement still stands that if you mash the rods together into a core (I'd have to count again) you can generate more rf/t and at a better rf/mb, especially for the size.

Then let's stick with the size; Am I correct on it being a 17x17x11? I am unsure of the height.
And with the checkerboard pattern, that's 113 rods. Let's keep these numbers the same. We're simply reshuffling what's inside, and changing one of the internal materials.

With this design, you should get an extra 20k RF/mb 2k more rf/t, and a lower mb/t usage. More bang for what's already in the reactor. The Graphite blocks can be just air, but with mixed fluids it's not a bad idea to have something structural that can let you work.

Big Reactors are the third best sources of RF within Minecraft. Sure they're quite large, but the amount of energy they shit for their fuel usage is insane. If you can get a reactor that can produce 8000mb/t of steam, you can run four full size turbines for some really hilariously large amounts of RF. Granted it's not as good as a DE Generator or a Mek Reactor, but BR are incredibly scale-able (You can start with a 3x3x3 baby reactor to get some early game RF, then bump it up to a standard 5x5x5 or 9x9x9 for midgame power, then move up to the monsters that me and Ducky have.

The fluid API was handy but not necessary, since most mods don't need fluids. ModLoaderMP was kind of necessary. AudioMod was not necessary, it was a convenience.

Multiparts, facades, and all that crap aren't necessary at all. They're nice, but aren't worth the performance loss, and definitely aren't worth basing an entire mod around. We played the game without anything like them just fine.

Spent way too much time figuring out how to automate early >Botania with Laser Tech, but finally got something decent. Almost forgot that mining lasers accept filters so you can make them only break certain blocks, fucking neat. The other two lasers are placers and collectors, as expected.

I had the idea to build the Ark of Napitism, but realized quickly that it would be a lot more obsidian or of some other block than what I would be able to readily produce.

Maybe if you've run out of ideas, you should look to building something on a grand scale, even if it is a hollow shell never to be used as a base, at least make it look pretty.

Get a resource pack that isn't medieval Europe themed. Build something in that theme.

Here's what I'm currently working on.

Regular IE:Expert Meme is alright. I don't know why anyone would play the Skyblock version for very long. Then again, I don't like skyblock at all.

I personally dare to say IE:EM is fun

>>151225046
I second this. I don't have any pictures of my old megastructures, but there is something satisfying about building a giant piece of shit that looks sorta cool.

How I did that shit before flight and Better Builders Wands, I have no idea.

>>

Can you post full setup?
I'm just starting out botania and Lasertech is mai waifu

Also do you have any idea what purpose the lasertech multiblock structure serves?

...Are those all storage drawers?

can't you hook into a drawer controller, or does EiO not work like that?
>>
>>151234764
Look up the Ender IO inventory panel and you'll understand.
>>
>>151235069
Still with most other storage management systems, you can hook directly into a storage controller and have access to everything in the drawers. That's how I usually have it, either with Project Red or Applied Energistics. Logistics Pipes work the same way, as did Practical Logistics.

You're telling me that EiO is the special snowflake that requires an inventory module on everything, and can't see the drawer controller?

I'm just confused why he's put a conduit on EVERYTHING when it's implied that there's a block specialized to be hooked into for this purpose.

I'm not mad, if he wants to do things the absolute worst way possible then I guess I can't stop him. I can only sit here and be confused.

Tempus (Time). I'm pretty sure its an add-on aspect, the one that adds redstone crystals and the automation stuff.
