You don't have to do anything, it's just easier to replace your existing files with clean files only saving the character, texture and class data.

It's easier. That's about it. Easier doesn't mean it's the only way. You can frankenstein an install together from patched game files and what you already have.

It's very simple and you should be familiar with it. Just get a 3D room .xx file and put it in AA2Edit's data folder. Then make an override rule for any hair and set it to replace the hair with the room.

It seems that a wrong naming convention for the room frames made the room not be fixed with the head. It may be an interesting finding but I haven't found an use to it yet.
