Saw that earlier. Really good animation, but there is a problem with the left cheek. Doesn't clip, but there is a lot of jittering going on there, that makes it look weird. He has a few hinches to iron out, but the animation work is very nice and also the fact that he uses Miranda is a huge plus in my book. I want some really alien alien civilizations.

No more space prussians, gypsies, mudslimes or whatever, just genuine aliens. The only races that somehow gave off that feel were (of course) the reapers and the geth. Talking to Legion for the first time remains one of my favourite scenes, when you got a being that has assumed a humanoid form but is completely different and incomprehensible by human standards, and that is a platform built for the sole purpose of communicating with organics.

Mass Effect has high comfyness potential, mostly ignored more and more with each entry. Even basic cityscapes can be great if done right like say Liara's apartment in ME2 LotSB, but it's also cool with more exotic locations since the setting allows it.

In that regard the Normandy is somewhat of a letdown, you don't have any cool vistas to marvel at in the location you spend most time in.

Holy shit man, playing ME1 is like a trip down memory lane, it's just familiar enough to me to remember basic things, but it's been so long that I actually forgot a lot of stuff as well. Yea but there is no way that every ship in the human/turian/asari navies was upgraded in time. The reverse engineering, research and development time table, testing, and eventually fitting those on every ship for widespread use would take almost 20 years from start to finish and that's if it doesn't get shitcanned by the government for being to expensive.

That above reason is why I was mad as fuck when thermal clips were introduced into ME2. No way that technology was adapted from the Geth, put into widespread military use and then trickled out to mercs and random arms manufacturers in just two years.

I picked it back up and had no fucking recollection of the story at all. I couldn't remember much.

The ending made no fucking sense to me at all. Also, Ashley disappeared somewhere during ME3, I didn't see her again.

The delay was like 2 and a half years. That's nothing. Not nearly enough to justify such massive leaps in technology.

Don't get me wrong. I understand why it was necessary to nerf the Reapers for ME3, but the writers really should have dragged out the timeline for the series a bit more.

Shepard should have been in the "coma" for like... 10 years, at least. Maybe even 20 (totally different tone from the game if Shepard feels like a relic from previous generation and all his squadmates have moved on, growing into familiar but now estranged people.

Then if Shepard is imprisoned at the end of ME2 you can easily throw in another 10 year time-skip. Or even skip the imprisonment and instead have the intro to ME3 be the very start of the war, and then the game proper is 10+ years into the grueling galactic war against the Reapers, with the story picking up around then as the allies finally start to cobble together an actual counter-strategy that might work.

2 and a half years was just way too short.

Christ, the entirety of the Mass Effect series takes place in less time than it took to fight WWII.

Thinking about it there hasn't really been a good book being released in recent years. the most recent science-fiction stuff I bought that is still ongoing is The Expanse and that is borderline SJW as well, because 90% of the characters are non-white.
