Ingkells has pretty limited moves (and a big health bar, leading to a repetitive fight) and an absolute bullshit second half that ironically doesn't even occur anymore unless you're soloing. I don't mind him that much but even CBH would be more a well-designed boss than him.

Nothing about Keaghan is well-designed, however. Excessive teleporting kills the pace and artificially stretch fights out, devil statue is more gasoline into this fire, bad particle effects with a shitton of black in a stage that's already almost black and white, boss is so small that he blends into any party of more than 3 people, etc. Maybe I'll give him the 2nd phase's music.

And "their time" was 4 years ago. You don't have any character that struggle with them the same way anymore.

Sylas wasn't a mistake, he's kind fun to play. Having another character to level to 90 and then gear was a mistake though. Also 20k AP start was terrible, pretty sure you get a ton more from actually leveling and the AP rewards that you get for finishing seasons now.

I hope nexon sells the vindictus franchise to a more competent team, where they scrap the old game and make vindictus 2, which is a subtle departure from the original, but still holds many of the original values of its predecessor while bringing in a slew of technological, gameplay, and graphical improvements and a few new characters and reworks of older ones

and it develops a more in-tact artstyle, opting to use a new engine instead of source, allowing for the soft, smooth looking characters to fit into the world better than with the grainy, rough source engine textures

and with the new engine comes a tsunami of gameplay improvements, allowing combat to flow more naturally while still feeling as visceral and brutal as it always has

but this dead horse isn't going anywhere

I think there were actually a couple patches done to her, but the major one that came in Korea the month after Einrach gave her the ability to stun bosses again with 10 zhen SA along with a damage boost when all 10 are zhen, pretty much every one of her abilities got buffed from either decreased SP cost, faster animation, and Long Armed Devil now always applies zhen SA.

Also the buff was apparently only on the test server 4 months ago, so we still have a while.

Delia flows the most right in solo when you time your comets and thrusts J U S T right so that you continue sewing bitches through their attacks while they're busy turning to face you. The fact that it's so easy to cancel smashes into either thrust or dodge/block also gives her a quick, consistent flow. And don't get me started on the rising + thrust + rising + thrust +... room clearing simulator

It's her party play that feels iffy because you're pretty much reduced to spamming falling comets on sandbags

He has an attack that if you don't learn to deal with you're just dead. He's otherwise pretty easy. Of course learning that move is a bitch since he's at the end of a very long Misty Summit route. I never got the hang of it. And ultimately it just wasn't worth me caring anymore. I usually pride myself on eventually soloing bosses I just couldn't care with that prick.

I played Fio from the launch of the game till about a month and a half ago. I made a couple alts, chain Vella and a Delia.

Oh yeah. The game has great combat. But there are sooooooo many other aspects of Vindictus that are "proof of concept" tier mechanical train wrecks.

This game is a hard sell to a new player. The only people I've heard latching onto the game recently had a vet playing with them through most of Season 1 & 2 acting as a tour guide.

Best combat in just about any game MMO or otherwise and we've got a concurrent of 1000 or whatever people I don't actually know the stats these are from my ass.
