Also I wanted to say that I'm retiring as the /utg/ manager from this point onward. I really don't come here to /utg/ anymore and I'm not the best fit to be the manager because of it. It was the big "AAA" indie project that was going to be revolutionary for the scene (Rocket League beat it to the punch lel)

Not much is known yet but yes there is a survival component. The game apparently starts by crashing your ship on a random planet. You have to gather resources to rebuild it and build weapons and such. The animals can be hostile, and the environment can hurt you without protection. There's also some kind of hostile alien faction which can attack you on the planets or in space.

I thought the dogs would be more popular among furries when the game first came out, that's usually how things go. The goats really took center stage for artwork. You have to theorize when you're working with incomplete information. Your conclusions operate on assumptions that aren't reasonable. What is a constant attack? One that goes multiple times? Then the ballet shoes or the empty gun weapons would fit that criteria. Yet Sans doesn't have trouble with those weapons. He doesn't struggle with the tough glove either, even though you physically mash. If a "constant attack" isn't an attack like that, then it would have to be more like the default attack from the real knife.

And you could say that OF could reset against anyone. It's not an argument. OF never demonstrates an ability to use reset to hit when he otherwise would have missed, either. Whenever you dodge his attacks in the game, reset just takes you prior to your dodge. If Sans doesn't tire from dodging (which there's no evidence to suggest that he does) then we're in an unbreakable shield scenario.

Not really? there's no evidence to suggest sans doesn't get tired from dodging, and if he DOES get tired from attacking then he'd still get worn out because you MUST attack to progress through the fight. He would die regardless of the cause of his exhaustion. Constant attack is referring to just about every single kind you encounter in the game, those that require you to dodge multiple times in one turn, sans only had to dodge once every turn and was still worn down. OF also has 6 human souls, giving him more determination than Frisk which gives him the reset ability. I don't think he would even need to reset though, sans would die within the first 10 seconds of the fight. 2 or 3 attacks per turn is a lot less than 20 or 30 attacks.

Not sure why I'm arguing against sans though, I love him. I just really think he wouldn't win, despite whatever assumptions you come up with. There's not really anything suggesting he could take OF down.

But as you say: Sans only had to dodge once every turn and was still worn down. Doesn't that imply that dodging wasn't the reason? Compared to the heavy volley of attacks he dished out, it isn't hard to imagine which one is the more likely cause.

But listen: You don't have to use the real knife against Sans in the genocide route. You can use the tough glove, which requires mashing and implies pummeling, but he'll still dodge. You can use the empty gun, which fires multiple shots at once, but he'll still dodge. You can use the ballet shoes, which hit 3 times simultaneously, but he'll still dodge. There's no form of attack more constant.

As for attacking: Sans has Karmic Retribution, which saps HP. If we're also going to accept that dodging does not tire Sans, then we have a very plausible way for him to win.

You're wrong. Flowey admits that he used his reset powers to kill everyone for fun. Even without that, he's directly involved in Chara's death and his own death as Asriel. He's clearly a debased psychopath when you meet him, even in the neutral timeline. Aside from that: It's entirely up in the air as to what exactly tires Sans out. As for attacking with regards to stamina, we can easily accept that Sans can attack very rarely during the fight. How infrequent would it need to be? One bone every day? Every two days? Every decade? If evasion doesn't tire him, then this would be entirely within his power. Omega Flowey could reset, but it wouldn't help him in the actual fight. Omega Flowey can't dodge.
