In my not so expert opinion, yes. If used within parameters I can see it being a major pain in the ass for MiG drivers, especially cause their radar is being dodgy as of recent. Speaking of which, the F-5s radar is still diabolical and I can never get a decent radar lock except in A/A-2

They never made very many K-4s or D-9s and neither were in service for the Normandy campaign (I'll have to check about the D-9). A spitfire IXe or XVI with 150 octane would have been a better choice. By the time the 109K and D9 hit the scene the Spitfire IX was using 150 octane fuel allowing it to hit 25lbs boost for a ridiculous rate of climb. I've been practicing high altitude (20-30K) level bombing with the F-5E

I depress the pipper to 150, reach an altitude and speed and hold it, turn towards an area target on the horizon then hit the stopwatch when it passes the pipper then keep it completely stable for like 3 minutes and go in completely blind except for instruments and the stopwatch.

I flip the weapon arm switches on individually realy fast so I get 9 bombs at intervals which is like a b-17 load

Managed get quite accurate i can hit runways w/out looking

That's about it for me too, from a technical viewpoint, rF2 is just impressive overall as far as simulation itself goes (tire-flex, chassis-flex, road rubber & heat, all that fun stuff)

But ISI hoped modders would fill the gaps they left, like with rF1, without explaining all the new shit (until recently), and it's too late now, everyone's either left/leaving the genre, moved to AC, or given up gaming entirely.

All said, it was still cool how I could 'recreate' the track conditions from the Brit GP a few weeks back, down to how the track dried-up and managing tire-change decision. But once that was over with, game was 'dead' again - save for the occasional test-session when the mood struck.
