I get #1 DPS on almost every boss, mission or world, over fletchers, SRs, and warlocks on my 50% attributed Dragoon.
Swordsmen that are built well only suffer when they can't apply their damage effectively, e.g. getting chain knocked down, or AoE farming with mobs spread outside of their hitbox range.

Joint penalty fixes this and works extremely well with swordsman skills. Fencer/Doppel/Dragoon R8 classes will make 2 sword/1 linker parties amazing, and they already are.
Not that anyone tries it.

It's godly in 2v2, specially if you're also a ranger.
You can invest a lot into STR without losing much. Sneak Hit covers your low crit rate, Feint covers your low accuracy and Evasion covers your low evasion rate. Your high STR takes care of block penetration. Backstab is pretty much a guaranteed stun if they don't have oracle/PD.

What's with this elementalist elememe meme? Overrated and underperforming class? Generally boring and/or unplayable? Generally outplayed by most other classes? Either one is fine, you will most likely buy a warp scroll to do quests in the other city anyways. From gameplay perspective, Klaipeda is "easier" and main quests give out stat points. From aesthetics and overall feel, in my opinion Orsha maps were designed better and look prettier.

what do i do when fighting the fire boss in the 115 dungeon? i can dodge everything but those shadows. or maybe they're something else and it's just not showing up on my screen. basically, what i see is that he summons a bunch of shadows that start running at me, and i can't outrun them so they end up killing me in less than a second.

They only use that move on whoever's got aggro. They're actually supposed to be like moving fireballs but the game doesn't render them correctly most of the time so you only see shadows.
