Unfortunately this game is at a disadvantage when it comes to the small guild sizes. It's fairly difficult to control a guild full of strong individualist personalities, but it's certainly worse when they're forced to form 6-7 guilds. how this works:

you're going to be a mounted warrior that can taunt monsters in the battle field, tank/dodge while moving AS FAST AS SONIC, but keep in mind that our dps ain't going to be obsolete! your skillset packs quite a punch for earlier levels and while you're getting behind in terms of dps in comparison to other builds, you steel keep your utility and mobility which makes you a awesome farming man, still great tank and able to solo content fair well, gear for this builds also is not that costly...

you can also pvp a bit with this guy, not as good as a cataphract full pvp build, but still enough fo farm those 50 points daily without much suffering

I think mergen might outmeme you depending on how strong the 2h bow passive buff is.

Say it's anything similar to the other weapon buffs, ie you get a +25% damage increase for using a bow, that would make your MA damage fucking insane.

Fencers are the best sword class, anon.

they outdps dragoon easily, only doppel can compete but fencer still wins vs leather armor

they can even outdps not-fullymeme dps archer builds (fletcher/wugu), elememers and shit

you play as a dodge tank that brings a lot of dps, 3:1 dex/str is fine, some 30-50 con, take peltasta for guardian+swash buckler, get a good boots for evasion with green gems and you're set

flanconade is a "perfect" block that you can use to parry one attack from mobs, it's kinda tricky to use but it ain't really a big part of the fencer's current gameplay, use it to spam dps on cloth monsters (flanc has 0 seg CD). why cloth? because your main skillset is based on pierce attacks, and those skills deals only 50% damage on cloth mobs, so flanconade/barbarian/highlander skills covers your ass

Fencers ARE the monks of the sword class since they do garbage damage and ever since people realised def isn't a meme, fencers dodge is worthless since the difference between taking 1 and dodging is simply you need to repair your gear less (well dodge also lets your interruptable skills continue but meh).

All physical attacks will miss you when you're lunging and nearly all physical attacks when you're not. Flan gives you a massive increase to your block but the buff only lasts 0.1 secs and takes like half a second to activate meaning you need extremely good reaction speed and ping not to mention be by yourself. Its basically worthless in tree of 2fps.

Currently if you go fencer that means you're either preping for fencer c3 or using fencer to boost your other and future classes (since they have a shitton of buffs/debuffs).

Honestly, not really.
In PvE, Cata is one of the better farmers due to the mobility and decent base damages. In dungeons, pelt is more than enough to be useful.
In PvP, that specific set up isn't amazing, but can still work.
