Hello everyone!
We (a bunch of regulars and ex regulars) are organizing a /lisg/ sings. The song we are going to be singing is Glass walls.
As you may know the song has male and female parts. You can either do both or pick one.

Use Audacity or something, there are plenty of programs that do this. If you don’t have a mic just use your phone.
Try singing the whole song in 1 go, you can leave out the male or female part depending on which you do. This makes it easier to edit. If you want to do both just record it twice.
Make sure it is JUST YOUR VOICE. No song in the background.

He used to be a scene photographer, his magazine covers are posted around the classroom. Such tattoos wouldn't necessarily point to anything malicious, they'd have a perfectly reasonable explanation in context.

But the same is true about a lot of other Jefferson stuff that people still latched on to prior to the reveal. It was my eye rolling at this that started the "MARI WAS RIGHT" meme this time last year ... which was always been misplaced given that I named Mari as one of the better examples, as she prefaced her Jefferson theory video as "a baseless accusation", which was entirely my point. :^)

"11:11" is a great song. It's a great Chloe/Rachel song especially. I like "Bowery" too. There's a handful of songs of them I like, but you are right, with how much Mt. Washington resonated with me through LiS, it's disappointing how flat most of their other stuff feels.

I'd argue that the fork itself is what is important and makes BAE so impactful. Not the existence of the bay ending itself.

TLOU did not need a bay choice ingame to create an ending that still sends shivers down my spine. All that was needed was that we have the knowledge that if he wanted, he could've gone the other way.
And the fact that it was never in the cards, never an option ingame, never crossed his mind, gives it a hell of an impact regardless.

Well, call it "possibility", then. It's still a choice. Obviously the alternative doesn't have to exist as an actual game option if it is narratively implied/established... But if it does exist as the former, it does make ~your~ decision as a player more impactful.

A common sentiment here is that some of us always knew that if it was going to come down to a choice between Chloe and anything else, we'd pick Chloe. I suppose actually being able to make that choice must have felt good, however illogical one might think the entire setup altogether, or the opposite choice specifically is. Even if you think Max would always commit to Chloe, here ~you~ can too.

Realistically she'd probably have those. And worse. But then the entire context is not realistic either - this is fiction, and yours specifically is CYOA. To me this ending represents that Max overcomes her self-doubt (Nightmare, Tornado) in one ultimate act of accepting her decisions and herself; she did everything how she felt right, driven by her heart. It would be cheap to then in the end betray all that, yourself and your partner because you don't like the outcome. And so I choose the one where she realizes that one's feelings are all you can ever rely on, and that her feelings for Chloe are stronger than even the feelings the sight of the destroyed town evoke. Just like Chloe's feelings for Max are even stronger then the ones finding Rachel's corpse evoked.

When I was little, I never felt small or lonely. I had my best friend, and my family. But after my dad died, and Max left, it happened a lot. And whenever it did happen, I'd look up at the stars. Wondered if there was life up there, as fucked up as it was down here in this shitpit of a town.
Turns out there was life, but I was looking the wrong way. Aliens are real, and they're hella ugly. But they came up out of the sea. Piece of ass town I've lived in my whole life was suddenly on the front line in a war with fucking godzilla. I was 19.

The military killed the thing, eventually. Had to nuke a whole bunch of the coastline to do it, but they killed it. And people relaxed. Sure, we watched the water, but no one thought that would happen again. Something that big in the ocean, we'd have seen it by now if there were lots of em, right? Turns out we were wrong there too. But for a few months, life went normal. Which, for me, meant 'shit'. That is, until my best friend finally came back to town. Max Caulfield. I'd missed her so fucking much and I hadn't even admitted it in years. Too scared to admit that I missed someone that much and they were just a phonecall away, a phonecall I was too scared to make.
But whatever. She came back to town.
But she was different.

Turns out, she'd been on holiday in San Francisco when godzilla's uglier cousin attacked. She was fine, her parents were fine – but their blood does something weird. Kaiju Blue they called it, makes the ocean go funny. And turns out, it fucks with you. Most people go weird, go epileptic, go catatonic. Max...went superhero. She could rewind time, but she wouldnt tell anyone. Anyone except me. We used it to hell and back, obviously. Why wouldn't we? We were two teenage girls with a superpower and people to use it against.

Problem with that is you lose sight of the core focus of the story, which is Max and Chloe. If you spent 90% of the game chatting shit about horror films with Warren, drinking tea with Kate, getting all the vortex club gossip from Victoria and co, it would be a very different game. Not that I'm saying I wouldn't love a game like that, but I'm glad LiS focused on what it did (until the ending, obviously).

We took down some bad people and escaped a huge tornado that destroyed our home. My family survived, thank fuck. Most of the town did, too. Place had bunkers and shelters all over. Turns out that's pretty useful for nukes, tornadoes. Probably kaiju attack. Who knew?

After that though, everything was different. Kaiju changed the world, Max coming back changed my life.
Max and me... we're more than friends. I could never pin down who I was into – boys, girls, attack helicopters, whatever – but turns out that's just 'cause no one ever compared to Max. Rachel came close but... no. Enough about that. That was a long time ago.
The second Kaiju came the next year, right as me and Max were celebrating our five month anniversary. The third came four months later, and we realised it wasnt going to stop. Everyone just lived in fear. 'Maybe today Ghidorah comes and smashes my entire town and kills everything I care about.'. Army recruitment spiked, but everyone knew they couldnt do anything.
So when, a year later, the UN's taskforce announced the Jaeger program, every-fucking-one signed up.

So did I. There was no way I was going to let some interstellar Mothra wannabe hurt anyone I cared about. Get in the fucking robot, Chloe.
And I did. I had all the qualities they wanted. Violent nature, good in a fight. But you cant pilot a Jaeger alone. You need a partner.
And there's only one person on this whole crap-sack planet who I wanted to work with.
And lucky me; turns out, me and Max were drift compatible. And with her rewinding, there's not a single alien fucking shit that we can't take down.


There are things you can't fight. Acts of God. You see a tornado coming, you get out of the way or you hide. But when you're in a Jaeger, suddenly, you can fight the tornado. You can win.
