Check out development flow table (click on 'load' button), not all weapons are out yet. It will take at least two more months just to add the remaining ones, development will take another 3-4 months. And they want to add grade 15 weapons so I am pretty sure that will be at least 8 months until the end.

I decided to give MG1 and MG2 a go aftet beating TPP for the first time
I beat MG1 today and I plan on starting MG2 today or tomorrow
I hope progression is a lot more straightforward in MG2 than in MG1, all that backtracking and shit hidden behind walls was making me lose my mind, I have no idea how anyone ever beat the game without a guide

Every mission loadout for me is literally riot smg, starter silencer rifle and depending on special missions a sniper or rocket lawn chair.

Bit lackluster that you can't hurt enemies without killing them.
Also just saw the "wound 'em" dress for d-dog, but it's the same as "kill 'em", just slower.

The main issue i have with this post is that pre TPP Big Boss, was the true Big Boss.

After TPP Big Boss' reputation was (now) only that big through both himself and venom, meaning he wouldnt be that much of a sensation if it wasnt for venom playing a big part.

I've just been plowing through this series as fast as I can and boy, this is one of the best game franchises I've played through in a while, I finished one and absolutely loved it, 2 was not as good and that massive metal gear ray battle was such a drag but hey, the ending was satisfying, I'm practically at the end of 3 now, on my way to fight the boss, what game should I play next? Peacewalker HD? I have a PS3 and a PSP.

Filler missions, chapter 2 should not have had "go to this outpost and retrieve this 1 thing" missions.
Open world feels empty, no rebels vs soviet fighting, would have been great to come across rebels ambushing a soviet convoy, where you can either help them, kill/tranq everywhere, or just leave.
No Co-op, can't go full operator with a friend playing a DD soldier backing you up.

GOOD
Played and handled well, vehicles and D-horse felt good to use.
Freedom.
Some of the environments and atmosphere were really good, running from skulls before figuring out they were easy to kill was fun.

Side OPs being a downgrade from the PW ones
Repeat missions(Extreme, etc) being lumped in with the list of missions and not each their own list (and with more missions for each type)

Vehicles aren't as annoying as they were in PW
Replay factor is huge because of the different ways you can approach missions
The main campaign just played A-B is just awesome

It's all up to what you turn on, there's non vanilla stuff like all female MB units wear the bikini and then there's other more grounded options like having MB units use weapons you've developed or use tiger stripe instead of the default outfit.
I haven't touched online FOB stuff that much so I don't even know if Konami bans people or if they even care.

Having a hard time getting SnakeBite to work.
It installs and backup my files and all, but the thing stops working right there.

Before all this try a different mod if you haven't already, that specific one might be causing the glitch.
Go to where MGSV is installed and delete 00.dat and 01.dat and replace them with the backups if you let Snakebite make them, if Snakebite didn't make backups go to steam, right click MGSV, go to properties and verify integrity of game cache.

Uninstall Snakebite, redownload it and reinstall it. Redownload the mod you were trying to use and try installing it.
This is basically a full re-install of the .dats and Snakebite which I had to do because I screwed something up and it fixed my problem.

1.The large arsenal and number of ways to knock out/kill enemies
2. I really like the cutscenes, even the ones where nothing really happens, they're just fun to watch in no small part thanks to the great graphics
3. The simplicity of the controls, I rarely feel held back by my ability to merely play the game which I can't say the same for some of the earlier Metal Gear titles
Bad:
1. Really hate the knockoff guns, I want my good old M16 back
2. I didn't mind the story but anyone can see that it's clearly unfinished, and chapter 2 is an awful mess
3. Fultoning everything makes the game too easy

In Cyprus, Ocelot gets Venom from the ambulance when it's still dark out, but when he left Big Boss, who he got out first, the sun was already rising. Doesn't add up.
And if you check the old trailers, with Venom on the motorcycle, it is still dark out, which is consistent with the time Ocelot got him out of the ambulance.
Also with Big Boss, he wears a leather jacket with the Diamond Dogs logo despite his not working there.
