It's honestly really fun. Most of the specs actually feel interesting and their whole "class fantasty" shit seems to have paid off.
Things are a little odd right now with it being the pre-patch balance is a bit off and no one has their artifacts yet. So any spec that really relies on an artifact power won't feel too great just yet.

I'm actually surprisingly hopeful for legion. I think they might actually have learned from their mistakes. This next part is pure speculation, but I think that they may have used their meeting with the nost devs to really find out what people liked about vanilla wow and are going to try and put elements of it back into retail.

WoD raids were good and fun.

Ashran was awesome when you played in a premade. Doing premade vs premade, finding workarounds to seed one, talking shit on forums and just knowing people in vent was cool while it lasted. Action parts sold for a lot too so that's another plus.

I also think they nailed zones and leveling. Zones never looked so gorgeous before. They felt different and new but had shades of Outlands. While leveling, It wasn't just doing quests but you also about finding treasures, upgrading bases, getting zone exclusive abilities and achievements, etc. Felt fresh for me.

Unfortunately, that was it. Garrisons killed a lot of good things, including gathering professions. The fact that it was mandatory made it even worse. Welfare legendaries were and still are dumb. Launch was good but Blizzard decided that was enough. BRF got delayed and made a lot of people (rightfully) mad. First patch was mediocre and made 4.1 look good in comparison. After that, it was clear they stopped giving a fuck about WoD.

It will go down in the books as the worst expansion but, for me, it could've been one of the best if Blizzard didn't fuck it up so much post launch.

The percentage of /krog/ moving over to Elysium is small, but as far as the server's prospects go, that's not even bad. What makes or breaks any server is the amount of normies it can attract. Elysium's problem is that due to its lack of advertising and the fact that most vanilla normies are already invested in K2, it's going to be pretty much dead. I might be wrong, but I seriously can't see enough K2 players dropping everything for a server that hardly anyone outside of these threads has heard about.
