This is kind of a specific question, but does anyone know why PSPretroarch emulated in VHBL on my Vita doesn't notice the PCE-CD iso/mp3 files that I have in their games' folders? I got retroarch to launch only PCE-CD by changing the eboot to the core-specific one, but it still sees nothing in the folders.

I'm playing through it right now on a dsi and it's pretty fine even with dpad, though i'd recommend a DS lite for it's mushier dpad is better for that kind of control scheme if you're fine with the reduction in screen quality.

SM64 is the most replayable mario game to me, the DS version is my favourite because i like to just pick it up and knock out a couple stars whenever i get the feeling to play.
It's a weird blind spot too because the greatest innovation of SM64 was how it used an analog stick to navigate a 3d environment, every game has been copying it ever since.

Acekard 2i is pretty great if you're using a DS or DSi, it has the lowest power consumption of any flash card i've seen, they were also very cheap when i was buying them in 2011 at about $17
If you've got a 3ds or want to use your flash card with a 3ds at some point the SuperCard DSTWO+ is probably the best it can also emulate GBA game but the DSTWO not plus i have is really crappy at it so don't get your hopes up

If you are running the DS games in 3DS mode with a Nintendont-like app, you are running the games in 3DS mode instead of DS mode

This means you have access to the Analog Stick in it's entirety.

Then you would just need to remap the touch screen near the analog stick.

It is entirely possible in a Nintendont-like situation, but we don't have one yet because despite Smea saying that it was entirely possible, some chucklefucks on GBAtemp decided to port Desmume to the 3DS instead.

Does anyone know if Monster Hunter Generations CIA has been reported to cause errors? My 3ds blackscreens when I update to latest firmware and when I downgrade via Nand backup, I get an error prompt everytime I turn on the 3ds. I mention MHG specifically because this didn't occur when I installed MH4U and Kirby PR.

I have an o3ds, already modded with sysnand and emunand split, and I have rxTools on there with menuhax. I'm looking to update the 3ds with this newer a9lh stuff and whatnot. How would I go about doing this considering the guides don't go over switching from what I have to that.

Cause then all that was happening was you were dumping the injected app, not the original.

This may not work, but try to dump sysNand's hs.app and inject the new file into RedNand's hs.app. At worst, you're no worse off. But you can't use your new RedNand's hs.app because it's already been modified.

If it doesn't, you can always just restore RedNand from the EmuNand backup. If you don't have one, then you can also use EmuNand9 to completely wipe out RedNand and restart the process.
