Lvl 54 GSM I think it is, gives you Maker's Mark, which turns Flawless Synthesis into one of the most valuable crafting skills in the game. +40 progress per use may not sound like much, but Maker's Mark reduces the CP cost and Durability cost of Flawless Synthesis down to 0 for a varied amount of steps according to the recipe.

So, quick question. Closing in on the end of the MSQ before heavensward (was the guy who asked about Praetorium last night), and I'm looking at the future, namely tomestones. I have enough poetics right now to get two pieces of right side gear or one piece of left side gear.

From what I'm looking at, I should be able to start getting into the hard mode versions of the dungeons and trials soon, and accumulating poetics. Should I focus on getting a full set of the 120 gear before moving forward, or will a partial set be sufficient, perhaps supplemented with crafted gear, before I start the treadmill for esoterics to get the 200 armor?

At this point, everyone will probably be over geared on their mains and just running teh content for alts, but I still don't want to be a burden to the group.

otherwise get the 115 hq gear and buy the ironworks weapon wiht tomes and upgrade it to 130, that would be the only worthwhile investment

The Heavensward quests throw HQ gear at you all the way to level 60. Having an Ironworks set will help but it's not like you're missing out if you don't get it.

Ironworks(120) will last you until level 52, Augmented Ironworks(130) will last until 55 or so.

Ah, groovy. I wasn't sure if it was necessary to get the set to have sufficient stats for the later content. I'm currently level 52, and have the HQ crafted right side that was equippable at level 52 I think. I was more worried because I main scholar, and I wasn't sure if deficient stats would be a hindrance to my healing output as the content got harder and stats started to bloat.

I know this is difficult to understand but Pure was not an ERP circlejerk FC. When the game runs out of content people stop playing. Guard does not have that issue because all they do is fellate each other all day.
