you dash to dodge something, you can use efficiency to put yourself in a position where you don't need to dodge. full efficiency is a massive difference over regular, not to mention that if you use it to fly above the monster, he has to look straight up to see you. this means he loses sight on everyone else, and if he tries to traversal upwards to get you, he'll get harpooned if you have a griffin or he'll get repulsor'd from a jack.

Goliath got a huge fucking buff. they reduced the direct rock impact damage and added all that they removed to the shockwave. This is a stupidly fucking huge buff since beforehand the assault could tank a rock and the shockwave of it only did like 365. now the shockwave does 5xx or whatever. this means 200 more damage to everyone else + assault still takes the full damage amount because impact+shockwave is applied.

As a lvl 40 emet player I can tell you don't fucking play emet at all. You don't need to have your buoys up to heal granted its nice to have them up but you can still heal regardless since burst works while throwing. Roaching works well with him emet since you can tank the monster while spamming your heal by putting a bouy at the top and bottom so you are always getting healed. Markov assblasts Kraken. Blitzkov used to, but he's nerfed to shit and is bad against Krakens now.

Regardless, Markov is good against Kraken. Kraken doesn't deal with the mines unless they're placed really well, but it's flying around and almost never gets obstructed so it just eats lightning constantly. It can break the beam here and there with traversals which is why Blitzkov is garbage, but Markov doesn't care about that at all.

Is there any tricks I need to know about Harpoons as a monster? Are they supposed to die in one hit, melee or ability? They are the only thing that seem to be fucking me up as a monster.

yeah they get disconnected in one hit, but you get them back quickly so you should be good.

Is the skill of ranked players significantly higher than non-ranked? I was able to do ranked for a while, but I put it off. Trying ranked now, and I don't get anywhere near wins as a monster anymore. Previously, I would easily get wins and have a high winrate in general. Now I just eat shit. I'm being matched up against Bronze which I assume is the lowest rung as well.

My own suspicions are that the patch buffed the hunters, the first down drop ship change is obnoxious. Second is the hunter choice, I almost always get Rogue Val healer and the likes.
