It did? I mean when I first played the game I felt kind of suspicious of her because I didn't exactly know what her motives were, but after I was at her home it kind of melted away. Especially after her arc ended. Though, if anything her house kind of makes me feel melancholy a bit, which honestly serves it for me.

I suppose it's a good thing we all have different reactions, would be boring talking about it otherwise.

I never trusted Toirel because of how she told you fighting back was wrong and then preceded to ditch you alone in a hostile area full of dangerous things that can kill you by just innocently striking up a conversation to go make a fucking pie.

It's ironic in a big way because Toby designed Toriel to overprotective, but on a gameplay-writing level he writes her away so the player can be introduced to engagements. There's a disconnect there that almost makes me want to devote time to making a personal cut of the story to fix these meta issues.

Though, I won't lie, the general attitude towards Toriel on this thread kind of bums me out. I mean, like, I can understand from some of you, but- Yeah, not really sure how to articulate this. I just know I would be lying if I said it didn't make me a little spiteful (I mostly keep it to myself) sometimes, but I suppose it's better than a hugbox, I think anyway.

Chara, nearly everything involving him is pretty much speculation or the fans being creative.
