But they literally have a reward for completing all the Social Links. The reward being a Persona designed specifically for the ultimate boss.

I think it's more a case that during P3 Atlus were still figuring shit out with the whole scheduling your time mechanic.

I mean in P3 you can easily have your stats maxed before the halfway point of the game, and then you only have 2 evening Social Links to keep you busy, and end up just having free time in the evening from that point onward.

P4 handled that a lot better, and I think P5 will do it better still, where you'll almost always have some meaningful way to spend your time.
