How is the generic MMO feel in the game right now? I played back in high school, like 10 years ago, but quit when things started getting silly, so about 2006/2007.

Basically, does the questing and dungeon "fun" still exist from level 1 to Max level similar to how it was around launch? ...Or does everyone just pay 10 bucks or something and become Max level immediately so they can do raids?

I'm trying to find a populated MMO (this one always seems to be) that still has the original MMO feeling like DAoC, SWG, WoW around launch. At least something that will last until Bannerlord comes out.

GCD literally isn't even an argument in ff14. People like to say "2.5GCD WHAT THE FUCK" not realizing that's the level 1 GCD to teach complete morons how to play their class

The GCD is closer to 1.5s at endgame. And even then you have so many abilities and combos that are off the GCD it hardly matters.

Dungeon and Raid for Disc seem like two very different playstyles.

Raid is keeping 7ish atonements up on various targets and then running a quick dps burn phase before going back and re-upping what you need.

Dungeons however you don't have other healers to fall back on in case shit hits the fan so you will be using Shadow Word: Mend more and I even took Clarity of Will (wish it gave atonement) to toss on the tank so that he can tank a few hits. I'd also look into Grace at cap but these things are higher level but do help keep that DPS phase/Upkeep phase cycle of Disc.
