Assist with status weapons, there are a lot of useful abilities you can get like traps or mines.

Remove styles and leave only guild with three arts split into 3 tiers so you can have a strong weapon art, weak weapon art, and a utility which should make it easier to balance them and prevent broken combos like energy charge AND demon riot at the same time.
As for the styles, throw striker away completely because it's pretty much just worse guild but with another art. Turn aerial and adept into flat out skills you get points in but expensive ones. Having 10 points in aerial would simply turn your roll into the flip and you could do your regular jumping attack and 15 points would give you the extra moves.
10 points in adept would give you the counter attack after a perfect evade however it doesn't come with any bonus i-frames or attack negating, if you want that you'll need to get evade+ on top of it.

I am struggling with aerial style hard.
Came out of adept which had those sweet, sweet dodge rolls. Felt really natural for me after all the dark souls I've played, but aerial just feels really slow.

It seems like it has I-frames but I can't fucking tell when they are. I just get slapped around a lot.
Any dank-nasty vets have any aerial style tips?

The only major issue I see from that change is it kills the accessibility of aerial and adept by making them skills. But it would balance them by giving them an actual cost and also make them viable for all weapons by not doing the gutting some weapons take to use it.

Gutting moves is a terrible way to balance things as it either removes too little making the style flat superior to the others or removes too much so that it makes the other styles superior.
Players shouldn't be punished with a gimped moveset just because they'd like to add a cool feature and conversely players shouldn't be able to acquire a broken ability at little cost.

The styles as is are horribly balanced because moves between different weapons aren't equal. Adept dual blades lose the spin off a ledge (big whoop) while SnS loses the entire standing A combo.

Making it a skill cost would make it an equal cost across the board for all weapons as well as making it viable for all weapons.

it was on a decent but not outlandishly good set of weapons and the easier partbreaking still made it worth using while not being the optimal (or close enough) choice to use across the board

3u's blast just had way too high damage and gen's blast usefulness is pretty much the same as 4u except they put it on some weapons that would've been really good even without it

Couple of alternate moves, supposedly are able to change the playstyle. Like heaven style GL replaces your WF with heat blade so you never stop poking. But storm style gives you elemental shelling, which you can shell two elements at once. Very simple changes. Heaven styles get a lot of evasion attacks like GS counter and LS bushido attack, so you keep on attacking and doing evasion attacks.

But I don't even dabble in frontier that far, gotta ask rhyperior for all the complex questions.

Guys, just got the best idea to fix this retarded broken game.

Monsters are locked in their tpose and do not roar or move at all. Maps are two areas big, the first is base camp and then one, medium sized area with no ledges or obstructions. Like tekken they have no borders. No monsters from before tri. Fox costume prowler only.

I call it infinitely better hunter: No bitching edition.

Has anyone else noticed that affinity seems to apply to the hit and not the button press in mhgen? I've been using DS on gore and when I'm frenzied I'd use demon dance and even when the first hit was a crit not all of the next ones would be. Also sometimes the first hit wouldn't crit but later ones would. Seems strange but I can't find anyone else mentioning it.

The reason you shouldn't eat for explorer is that you will spawn in an area with a bunch of blue nodes and mining those doesn't give any coal, eating also takes time. Trust me it's not worth running around the volcano wasting everyones time mining those blue nodes for 2 timeworn charms, 3 shining charms and 50 firecell stones.

Just doing the quest as quick as possibly and only focusing on the charms in the rewards will give you more charms per hour than if you were to do that

The reason you put the coal in 1 by 1 is because of how rewards scale for gathering quests with pawpass ticket. Basically you either put in a fuckload of coal (30) or you just put them in 1 by 1 in which case the game will credit you for how many times you delivered. It's just that they made it a really simple code and didn't expect anyone to just deliver the coals one by one. It's an oversight. By delivering 12 coals 1 by 1 instead of 30 in bulk you get max rewards at 12

Note that for either of these things to actually work you have to either be in an actual online room, or a local one. If you do this method offline the rewards won't scale.

So now that I just killed a monster by mounting it (the act itself) I want to know, how much damage does mounting do? Does it do damage for each slash with the tiny knife or just one hit at the end of it when it topples?

Anyone know?
