What am I saying, it was a bad system to begin with. DE also has a VERY bad habit of NEVER punishing their mods for literally anything they do, so complaining usually gets you nowhere or at the very least, a removal of the ban. Unfortunately, it also probably takes them longer to respond to your ticket than it does to just wait out the chat ban (unless permanent).

I have 2211 hours in game.
Had to go back and forth in syndacates when they released new weapons, and archwing weapon pieces.

Had to learn how to cheese endless missions, as well as rush singular task mission.
Had to rebuild weapons considered as mastery fodder to build new weapons, which also turned out to be mastery fodder.
Soloed alot of it, also. Only during the end of void did I decide to go to recruiting chat to get the rest of the primes in the dying void.

Primes are more for late game content, by the time you need one, you'll have the resources to farm them, and with the new relic system, they aren't so hard to obtain. Clans are useful for researching new weapons and frames, and some actively recruit anyone or you can start one yourself. Mine has only 3 people so far, and we've built most of the research facilities already.

I just goes against what they said about the relics in the 1st place, your current relics no longer matter for new primes. It would instantly invalidate every vet's collection. Sure its great for new players (like most of their changes) but it totally fucks off all the players that got them where they are today.

On top of that it adds an unnecessary level of grind INSTANTLY. You have to wait for the prime to actually come out, THEN go and play endless missions for a CHANCE at the one specific relic you need (in a drop table flooded with old relics you wont need) and then when you DO get the one you want, if its a rare, you get an up to 10% chance to get it (IF you had 100 traces ready to go)

If they added new primes to old relics, it wouldnt be shitting all over Vet's collections. Vet's that have shit loads of keys wouldnt have to farm the relics needed to run for the new parts.

One could argue that this is why they are doing it, is to make sure that Vets can do exactly that, which in and of itself is a dick move, but understandable from a buisness standpoint. (being owned by fucking PWI)

First, SotR is not a small update. It's part of a major update, and by itself would warrant a .5 update at LEAST.

The player drop-off following SotR is significantly sharper than any update prior, big or small. Most big updates can retain players for months before drop-off occurs. In SotR, the playerbase nearly doubled from 30k to 60k before sinking back down to 30k a week after launch.

This is especially disheartening in the context of a declining playerbase in the last few months.

This update is fucking awful for new players, junctions regularly glitch out they need taxis, the process of acquiring kavats (new content!!!) is beyond a new player outfitted with a MK-1 Braton, and relics don't make things any easier for someone starting out. At the end of the day we have a far more restrictive starmap that straight out bars progression half the time, and cheapo strong weapons were nerfed along with grind spots. This was an update only in name, in practice it was a "downdate", downing the quality and accessibility of the game..

I think one of the huge reasons why it sucks for new players is that there are no longer any good credit farms, and EVERYTHING requires credits in the game.
Guns and frames? credits
Kubrow incubator? 100k credits
Trading for a primed mod? 1m credits
Maxing a mod? A million or more
Hieracon gives shit for creds now
LoR gives shit for creds now
Sorties are the only thing left that gives a decent amount of credits

Forma drops from FIFTEEN Relics at UNCOMMON rarity. There's no excuse for this.

And a whole bunch of other shit prime parts drop from 2+ locations.

Any one of these duplicate relics can be replaced with new prime parts. Not only would this solve the new prime problem, it'll also lessen the reward dilution problem. But DE won't do this because it'll decrease profit revenue from players who don't feel like grinding

No, it won't. Shit like Paris parts and Bronco prime BP are garbage prime parts that drop from multiple common locations and it's extremely easy to farm them; just equip the right key. Dropping from multiple locations just dilutes the drop table. And there is ZERO excuse for forma to have UNCOMMON drop rarity from 15 locations. Forma can easily be farmed at common rarity from a shitton of relics, putting them at uncommon again just dilutes the drop table.

They either have a reason for doing it that way, or they're too stupid to organize things logically. They could have just had a specific set of equipment on specific relic sets so that they could vault them without disturbing other relics but instead it seems they want other factors to influence rarity of prime parts.

Because of this, they will be forced to rotate the current drop table when mag, boar, and dakra prime are put back into the vault.
