Before Chapter3 she was that spiteful, asocial, recluse girl with no self confidence. She developed a crush on Togami that led her to reveal her secret : that she has DID and her other personality is a serial killer.
Starting chapter 3 ? It was Togami insulting Toko and her being a sub. That was the extent of her character.
Same with Togami, his comedic duo(trio ?) really made me take him for not a threat at all anymore

From Toko's perspective, this is the first time she actually fell in love. And did not really know what to do or go about it. And she has a lot of abandonment issues, and her warped self esteem makes insults into complements and makes it sound like sincere advice.

From a writers perspective however, yeah you are basically burying her character potential here. But this is Danganronpa everyone is a target and Toko was probably going to be a killer at some point. So any development after her arc or whatever, may have been made up on the fly.

It reminds me of our infant days of ignorance and insecurity. Not a lot of people really get strong emotions towards somebody at young age and you don't really know the do's and don't and you learn it from trial and error.

Yeah you're right, but for a survivor to have your narrative arc come this quick was kinda lame. It's not much Toko but the writing that's to blame. Then again in chapter 3 there was Alter Ego to focus on, part 4 was the traitor's identity where Toko and Togami participated and part 5 was Kyoko's disappearance and Monokuma not working anymore, but that was still a shame for her because I like the scummy allies. The people who have red eyes from what I have been noticing, are the most serious people. Gozu's eye flash from episode 2 tells me its just a mental state people can enter freely in this universe and they use red colored eyes to show how serious people are.

Though after reading this, some people are serious but don't have the red eye color transformation or red eyes period. It might just be simple design choice rather than something deep.

「Violent Femmes」the ability to touch anything and turn it into a pair of scissors, that can be used as a melee weapon or thrown.

The stand appears infront of Komaru and acts like a fighter type that wields the scissors.
Similar to how platinum works, but using scissors and only scissors. I would say all of the specials Toko does in AE would be the limit of 「Violent Femmes」 power. Along with her quick dash that functions as a dodge mechanic in AE.

I really like Toko's color scheme so what I would do is make Komaru match the stand. Match Toko's uniform and hair. Leave the eye color alone and skin is fine.

I use this tool on Gimp ,colorising or whatever the name is in english with the lasso tool.
I usually have to mess with the saturation and luminosity slider to get the hue I want. If your picture is too white ,just darken it a bit for the hue to show more strongly.
If you want brown skin just go to an orange one and desaturate it.
Oh and the hue(teinte on the screenshot) doesn't affect blacks. But if you lighten the picture,it'll affect them (like the outward lines).. In that case I just up the contrast with another tool. Here is basically how I make all my coloring edits

It's... weird. I know what needs to be written, and I know I can probably write it. But normally I just get hung up on something really small that breaks my flow. I literally have a piece I could write up in an instant if I wasn't so hung up on one line of dialogue that I can't get to sound right.

It's the reason I drop projects faster than Kodaka drops characters.
