With a9lh, you have to run it as an a9lh payload at startup.

It's been a while since I softmodded my ps2. The problem you're having sounds like a messed up freemcboot card, try putting the apps like ESR on a USB and boot it from there, have as few apps on the mem card as poss.

You can literally just overwrite the files used by Loadiine (drag & drop). You can also make an updates/1.3/ folder inside the main game folder and put the files there, then select to turn update support on in Loadiine.

Use JNUSTool or UWizard to get the actual update files.

Nope. DLC support currently requires you to actually own the DLC, install the DLC (needs to be done via home menu so you need to own the actual game) in addition to needing ddd to dump the DLC. It's a combination of moralfaggotry and not fully intercepted/reverse-engineered calls.

Asking again: So I'm still using emunand because I'm lazy.

I've had a issue since pirating fantasy life and that's the fact I can't get the installation for the game's DLC to work properly via cia.

Other people had this problem, was it ever fixed? Was the cia to blame? How did people get it to install via cia? Anyone?

I'm using Cakes, and the last time I tried to install the DLC for Fantasy Life it was US.

I don't know what the issue is, anyone who had the DLC install work, could they pass me the .cia they used?

For DLC to work out of the box, you need to be using both a game and DLC from your console's region. Otherwise you need to use language emulation via Luma or NTR. I think Fantasy Life also needs the update to be installed, the DLC is only a 100KB unlock DLC.

How's it going /hbg/, I have been tinkering with my friend's New3DS for days now. We got emunand CFW set up after going through a few problems, FBI set up, and we were just about to play the new Monster Hunter together. For some reason though, the game wont boot on his, even after installing it properly. I tried the cia on my 3DS and it works just fine, even after installing them side by side.

I'm at a loss, I have no idea what's wrong. Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks for the help, but it didn't fix the problem.

To clarify, the game itself is stuck on the "Nintendo 3DS" splash screen, pic related, that loads before booting the game. The other 3DS (Old) doesn't get stuck there and quickly passes from that screen to the game.

yeah, I have the latest version of FBI but I haven't tried installing any .cias outside of initial setup. I'm on an old 3dsxl with al9 and luma if that matters

that's it, and if you want to uninstall something

it's as simple as it gets, if you managed to get a9lh+Luma, then using FBI should be a cakewalk

and be warned that full games take a while to install (not smaller ones that are like 100mb, I mean the ones over 1gb)

after you've deleted the (now) useless .cia files, you'll be able to see how much space you actually have occupied on your SD card

I just updated my RedNAND to 11.0 without realizing that Ninjhax is blocked on 11.0, and my Menuhax was killed by the update.

How do I get Homebrew access on my RedNAND /hbg/? If it's Freakyhax/OOT3D/PSMD, am I able to just install their .cia's and then boot Homebrew through them?

All the guides I found were absolute shit and not worth the time since I never turn it off.

Can someone help me out? I'm following the Plailect guide, I've finished part 3 and started doing part 4 but now I can't boot into RedNAND (I just get stuck on a loading screen saying it's loading the HOME menu but the bar never fills), booting into SysNAND is fine though.

So I'm on part 4(last section) of the Plailect guide and I keep getting nfirm errors when I try to downgrade to 2.1.0.
When I was formatting the redNAND twice I accidentally formatted sysNAND once, so to fix that I formatted redNAND a total of 3 times hoping it'd bring them to the same number and allow me to install it.
It didn't work.
Anyone have any idea what I should do?

If I already have Gateway/rxtools emunand and am following the guide for the sole purpose of updating to Luma3DS/a9lh, do I need to bother with the Part 3 steps for creating REDnand?

I reformatted a formerly wii u formatted drive in windows. I think I just went into the windows disk management (the one under administrative tools) and formatted it there. I don't remember having any difficulty, so if for some reason you can't do that gparted will almost certainly work

Yes, it is a good firmware. You don't need a game since you can just use an exploit from the internet browser which got patched on 10.4 i think.

From then it's up to you if you want to follow the full guide for arm9loaderhax or if you're happy being a pleb with emuNAND.

I go through the browser and launch the "homebrew launcher" where I boot into RXTools, but I don't actually have a "boot.3dsx" on my root folder. I have a ninjahax folder if that helps.

When you get to a9hl, you'll still have the nnid issue. To fix it you just backup the nand, format, login to you nnid, then inject the nand. Since you're working with only one nand, it's even harder to fuck up.

It just by default boots into sysNAND and by holding the assigned button into emuNAND after the quick flashing color screens from menuhax, but skips homebrew launcher all together because luma.

Just because you hack your console doesn't mean you need to pirate. Well, I mean, you kinda have to when it comes to foreign eShop and DLC if you want it all on a single part of your 3DS, but it can play everything legit and even gets logged to your Activity Log as such. The only downside is any CIA does so Homebrew shows up in it as well which triggers my autism something fierce.

You can still buy Japanese games, enable language emulation, and stick them in your 3DS and have them play as if you bought a game of your same region as well.
