Dark Sectors are total bullshit, the drop chance bonuses don't seem to work for rare drops, and while the little bit of global bonus xp is nice (this applies to xp earned from any source applied to any gear), the weapon-specific ones are poorly worded and the XP popups are deceptive (you get a bonus to XP earned from any source but only to the specified type of gear, even though when you get a kill with the specified kind of gear you will see a boosted value, only the portion of that going to say shotguns is real, the rest is unboosted, and vice versa)

Same with the Boar, which is also primed.

If the Boar is a Tenno weapon then the Strun must be a Tenno weapon also since it looks nearly the same but the Strun is already Wraithed which means it's a Grineer weapon.

It was obvious DE had no idea what they were doing when they added these weapons years ago.

Do you remember your first Warframe experience?

For me it was May 2013. I picked a posterboy an joined random sabotage squad.

I just followed my team who seemed to move super fast and before I even got to the core the lights went out and I was told to run away.

I thought the mission failed main objective but no, this was my first disoriented leech run.

I loved every bit of Mercury. Headshots mattered. Reaching hidden caches was somewhat difficult therefore rewarding in itself. Wall running felt great. Melee was fun with blocking and charge attacks. Using powers as panic buttons and no means of spamming made sense.

I did countless missions in stealth and proudly used Shade.

When has this game lost its charm?

I of course picked loki and went solo most of the time - I tried to stealth every single mission without setting off the alarms, I played tactically read: I stayed close to the walls, I reveled in every engagement and every time my equipment would level up, I tried my best to keep up with the friend I played with and his group, I even bought in as a founder so I could get some plat for colors and potatos, and every new enemy or little hidden "thing" in a tileset was interesting

I was assured that my grievances would be addressed, that stealth would be improved, that the grind would be reduced, that more content would be added (and it was, at a breakneck pace, perhaps to the detriment of the game's structure as a whole), that the strange damage system and fresh mod card system would be made better, but I too quickly ran into the grindwall and found myself at a dead end... so I didn't come back until the eyes of blight

I at once wish I had stuck with it in the old days, and also that I had never come back to see what this game had fallen to in spite of its potential and all the work put into its assets

DE changed, or stop caring. They've even said they didn't expect Warframe to live past a year after Open Beta, that's why they're having a poll on whether or not the Lato and Braton Vandal should be released, since they thought making exclusive weapons obtainable by either playing at a certain time or paying enough money should give you XP and have their own special stats, instead of being skins/identical to the normal variant like what every other multiplayer game puts out for closed betas.

They're meant to spawn once per mission in a randomly selected tile.

The trick with fragments is to pick the fastest, most linear mission type, that will have the least amount of branching paths on the tileset, and run that.
They always spawn (not sure about def/int though), but the tile will be random, so you want to minimise the time you have to spend looking for it. Exterm, rescue and hijack are pretty good for it.

I believe I have stumbled into some kind of temporal fracture, a tenno purgatory, wherein time is frozen as I am stuck in an uncompleteable mission, unable to interact with anything

I can't turn off my exalted blade because I need more energy

my empty hands cannot pick up the void reactant because they already picked it up

the fissure is unsealable, the enemies are like living statues stuck in idle animations, and there are ghosts of ash frames stuck in place

is this endgame?

It's good in the sense that if they got rid of the amprex, tonkor, synoid simulor, and sancti tigris then people may use it as a replacement.

The thing is, the Amprex doesn't do enough damage. It hurts everyone, yeah, but there's no damage spike that just plain kills everyone. I might not have all the crit mods because I don't normally do crit builds, but it seems pretty lackluster.

The Tonkor only has two shots. It doesn't matter if you can kill everyone in a second when you have to reload every second. It's just not fun to be sitting there waiting to be able to shoot again, except constantly.

I don't have the Synoid Simulor yet, though I'm working on making Suda like me.

And the Sancti Tigris is a shotgun. All of the shotguns I've ever used are terrible. If I'm close enough for a shotgun to do damage, then I'm just going to use my melee weapon instead. I might get around to getting it, but I don't have high hopes for it.

I remember it back in May of 2013 but I was gifted a Trinity and I remember just disliking how it played.
Had a Burston and tried to focus on head shots but everyone just rushed past me and melee'd everything to death.

Honestly, I still like it a lot between the new systems and how much different the mission types feel from one another.
Any nostalgia I have for the old days is mostly a product of how I hadn't really played anything like it as an adult before. Though I do miss how easy you would grab onto railings and ledges

You have no valuable opinion in this matter. Crit amprex absolutely destroys groups, multi-shot high mag high crit high aoe tonkor is easy the best weapon in the game tied with the simulor, and sancti tigris literally one-shot kills a few bosses and can make groups disappear into a fine mist.
