I know two things for certain. One, if most gambling sites really do get shut down or go underground, the prices are going to fall as their inventories start flooding the market.

Honestly I was playing 1080p and just didn't like it, so I switched back to 800x600. I've been toying with the idea of switching to 1280x720.

But it's really all preference. There might be some small FOV advantage to 16:9 but it's not enough of a difference to really matter IMO... plus if you're focusing on the sides of your screen you're gonna die when someone pops out right in front of you.

I don't know if sensitivity actually changes when you switch resolutions or aspect ratios. Theoretically sens should change drastically between resolutions, because for instance, 400 "dots per inch" should cross an 800 pixel screen much faster than a 1920 pixel screen, but it never feels different to me so I think the game compensates for it somehow.

Everyone knew that skin betting was a problem like two years ago, when it felt like every single pro game was getting ddosed. A large amount of the community was clamouring for valve to do something about csgolounge, but valve were content to let them continue doing business.

They could've nipped this in the bud way back then, but Valve's inaction to stop csgolounge led to all these skin gambling sites popping up. Nobody's going to make those sites if the original gets shut down.

Then they even exempted a bunch of sites from a captcha update early last year

After playing overwatch, it's become clear to me how fucking lazy and pathetic valve are. OW has frequent updates that use community feedback, tweak stats, bug fixes, and major content like a new Hero or adding competitive. I think csgo at it's heart is a better esport and competitive game, but Valve have done jack shit to make it better or defend it from Blizzard stealing players. The only updates csgo has gotten in like the past YEAR are: fixed hitboxes (one of the only good updates, took them YEARS to fix), prime matchmaking (the only good update that hadn't been begged for for years), changed gun sounds (takes little to no effort), r8 (one of the worst updates i've ever heard of in any game), and operations. Operations literally just take community-made items/maps, repackage them as official, then valve sells them as DLC. Valve do jack shit for operations aside from the occasional case that has original skins and realistically if you have 10+ people working on a game, a few skins can be made in a handful of days. Valve has ignored community requests to fix things like jumpscouting and pretty much done nothing. It seems like an attitude of "well it doesn't matter what we do, you'll still fucking play our game." Meanwhile blizzcuck have frequent videos and patchnotes explaining the changes and what their goals are for the game; there's a beta client to playtest patches, something valve need if they pull shit like the r8.

Blizzard are like the new restaurant next door that has the same kind of food that's maybe ~15% worse in terms of taste but has excellent service and never has shit in its food.
Valve have gotten by fine because they don't have any other competitors, and I'm sure there are plenty of cs fans that will never leave valve even if they find spit in their food.
