Shit...This Edition is way better than mine...
Evening, Friends. How goes it?
>>148871342
I knew there was another version of this somewhere!
>>148869547
I could say the same for a good bit of /vg/ threads. Hmm. Maybe this needs more research. I'd been planning on visiting them, went through a lot of /v/ nostalgia back when I read through my archives and was planning to report on that.
>>148869635
No fun to just tell you.
>>148871392
Good evening Castron. It's going well. How's your day been treating you?
http://www.strawpoll.me/10777549
Strawpoll for your katawaifu is here, remember to vote if you haven't already!
>my fucking face when my smug is the OP pic
>mfw the thread edition
>mfw all these smugs being posted
The simple fact that you guys post my drawings makes me happy every time. I love you guys.
>>148872106
Humble as ever, the truth is, smugs are fucking awesome
>>148871893
>I could say the same for a good bit of /vg/ threads
I wouldn't know.
>>148872106
Calm down there, dood.
I love you too.
>>148871472
And now you have it.
>>148872106
>>148870908
Nth for a happy Hana!
>>148871893
>It's going well.
That's good to hear, Friend. It's been raining all day, so I've just been milling about the house.
>>148872106
I tried to vote, but it wouldn't process the captcha. And I told ya, Friend, people here like your art.
>>148872106
Already voted for my Hanako.
>>148871007
> Hanako leading the poll
> you can't fix her, ksg
But we can try it. Or maybe it's only a way to justify our hope that somewhere there's someone willing to fix us.
>>148871392
> This Edition is way better than mine
Are you kidding man? No way one edition is better than other ones, every edition is best edition if you put yourself in it when you made it.
>>148872106
I appreciate your art so much I named your smug Hana with an easy number to remember (150) and I renamed the original #150 one with an higher number, so I can be able to use the Smug when I need it.
And remember, we love you too.
How is your day, /ksg/?
I just saw a bee fly face-first into a window like six times.
It was the same window.
>>148873820
> How is your day, /ksg/?
Quiet and peaceful.
The kind of day I prefer.
>>148871392
Not very good man.
I think I almost hit some people on the trail with my bike.
>>148872240
>>148872423
>>148872451
>>148872929
>>148873771Seriously, I can't say thanks enough. I don't want to sound all sappy and cheesy, but it is true that every time you guys post one of my drawings, the thought that someone saved and kept and then later shared something that I made is enough to cheer me up any day.
Now seeing how this is a smug edition thread, I'm gonna have to get that smug Saki finished. I'm gonna need someone to post Saki for some reference if it wouldn't be too much trouble.
>>148874474

Went to work, came back home, chilled a bit, went shopping, saw a qt 3.14 girl at the market (short, curvy, booty thicker than a bowl of oatmeal, I mean HOLY FUCK), came back home, and now I'm chilling and playing Hearthstone
>>148874829
Well that's your opinion.
>>148873216
>but we can try
Just because someone is broken, doesn't mean they need to be fixed. To remove that which flaws us is to remove a part of ourselves, taking away that which makes us unique. Some light mending to help hold us together in just the right way is all we need. We've all lived this far into it, why remove the reminder of that?
>>148873820
Rainy, with bouts of thunder.>That feeling when you lose an hour of play on Morrowind because the power flickered and the game doesn't autosave
>>148873962
Sorry to hear that, Friend, but you didn't hit them, so there's always that.
>>148875224
>Sorry to hear that
Thanks man, I've just been getting to reckless for comfort.
Maybe I'll get better at warning people.
>>148874474
>I'm gonna have to get that smug Saki finished
Cool! Can't wait to see that one
>spoilerI uh... I used to post "squish-a-Mish-Mish" in almost every thread. At some points someone just made a "squish-a-Mish-Mish" edition. It was quite awesome to see that, even though I just posted the image and never took any credit for it, since, well, it's not mine. The guy who drew it is awesome, the guy who made that edition is awesome. You made smug katawas, you are awesome.
>>148873820
Nothing much happened. Work was really slow today, so I finished the two books I was reading. Ate well, did my evening workout, now I'm just sitting here listening to music and enjoying my new fan. Life's pretty good right now.
>>148874842
>saw a qt 3.14 girl
You seem to be finding a lot of girls as of late.
How was your first day back at work?
>>148872106
>http://www.strawpoll.me/10777549
>Emi's description is Lilly's quote
>>148872616
That's a new one, you're getting better!
>>148875783
Yeah, ain't that odd? Maybe it's a sign?
First day back at work was boring to say the least. literally nothing happened, except for the fact that I have the internet connection back. Still no wifi though.
>>148876292
That's an old one but thanks!
That one is still the newest, I've been away for like ten days so I don't have anything new...
>>148876301
>Maybe it's a sign?
Yes, you are destined to make Polski Shoujo.
The story of a rather ordinary pharmacist he relocates to a rather ordinary town in Poland except there is a twist,Every girl has a bubbly personality, a squishable body andSlight lesbianic tendencies.
He also meets the on really cool foreign guy in the town who has no idea about all the strange things in the town.
And here's to another day of fuck all.
also Chibi-anon, tell me when to stop posting Sakis.
>>148876970
>Every girl
I don't need "every girl",I just want this one special
>on really cool foreign guy
You moving?
>>148876970
>Polski Shoujo
I'd play it desu
>And here's to another day of fuck all.
Fuckin' cheers man. I could be playing vidya, watching chinese cartoons, going outside, talking with people, but I'd rather doodle emotionally distressed cripples for my anonymous internet friends
>Chibi-anon, tell me when to stop posting Sakis.
I think you've posted enough. I really only need the reference for her hair.
>>148875983
But it describes Emi perfectly. Would you have preferred LOLI ANAL SLUT?
>>148876451
That's okay man, you're not on a schedule. Also you're Va11ha11a stuff is great!
>>148877395
Okay maybe not every girl. But like, 5.
>You moving?
Not if I can help it but you can't make a game without an ode to your good friend kiwilad, can you?
>>148877417
>I think you've posted enough.
Excellent!
>>148877661
... The ahegao thingy? I made that for a friend, never played it...
>>148877556
>Would you have preferred LOLI ANAL SLUT?
>Lemon scented lube, my butt's not just for poop
>>148877761
>5.
One. One is enough, as long as she's a good one.
>you can't make a game without an ode to your good friend kiwilad, can you?
Would you rather be a Kenji-esque character, good guy Mutou or a cheeky Nurse?
>>148877807
Oh never mind then. Just take the bloody compliment humblefag.
>>148878082
It's just that I'm not sure what Va11ha11a was...
But I checked and thanks <3
>>148872929
Rainy days can be fun. Whatcha doin' in there?
>>148877807
You should play it, it's a great game.
>>148878230
I will give it a try, it seems like it's full of qts!
>>148878049
>One is enough
Well you've got to pick one
>Would you rather be...
Like that's even a choice.
>>148878187
Just watchin' some youtube right now. Going to head out later and feed the animals, maybe walk the fence and see if the storm knocked down any limbs onto it.
>>148878910
Youtubes is always good. I've found myself doing a lot of that lately. Listening to or playing rainy stuff is great for the superior surround sound experience.
>storm knocked down any limbs onto it.
I know that feeling, a lot of old trees packed into this yard. Just finished giving away a lot of firewood cut from a fallen branch.
>>148878187
Yeah, rain is beautiful
>>148878564We shall find each other, me and the girl, that's the way it goes for me.
So now you are... Sir George Mutou the Kiwi Lad?
>>148878910
>feed the animals
Pat them on the head from me!:3
>>148879154
>giving away a lot of firewood
Seems like you either had too much to use it yourself or no use for it at all, either way it seems like the branches gave you a headache.
Anyway, time for me. Nighty night /ksg/, stay beautiful. Have a great one everyone.
>>148879914
Geez at this rate I'm going to start giving Mexicans a run for their money in the name department.
G'night, dood. See you tomorrow.
>>148879914
Goodnight anon. Sweet dreams.
Chibi-anon with a quick update for anyone who's waiting, I just finished the pencil sketch now becauseI had a lot of trouble getting the face just right, and then I paused for some lunch
Coloring should be done within half an hour at the most.
>>148882905
Excellent! It seems strange that she's one of the last to be done. If any katawa were to be smug, it would be her.
>>148883584
I was considering drawing her with a nazi officer hat, but I decided that if anyone wants that later, it can be easily shopped in.I'm guilty that she's one of the last ones to be done because she doesn't even have all that much time left;_;

>>148879154
>I know the feelingBeeeeeeh.... Just walked a bit of the fence and Mother Above, a small tornado MUST have touched down in ONE spot of my field. There's a small copse of trees that was absolutely destroyed. Looks like they exploded! Had to pull a fairly big limb from the fence, but from what I could see it seems fine. Looks to be more rain coming, so for now I'm going to leave em where they lay until tomorrow.
Its always something.

Huh. I never did look at the mods.

>>148894289
Emi would probably drag you onto the track regardless if you wanted to or not.
>>148894698
>Mother Above, that would probably kill me on the spot...
I'm sure it would take her some time to gather up the nerve, but it would be admirable and unbearably cute.
>>148894789
I dare say she would appreciate that I can't run with a cane. She can run in my stead.
>>148894698
>The thought of Hanako being the one to take the first step and try to start a relationship
She does though. She asked Hisao to come grocery shopping with her after the festival.
>>148894943
Considering how much appreciation she gave Hisao's heart condition, she'd still be pushy with you. But in that cute Emi way.
>>148895190
>she'd still be pushy with you. But in that cute Emi way.
100% agreed, and that would only endear her on me all the more.
>>148895190
>she does though
Yeah, but that's Hisao and they had known one another for a while by then. My brain-grapes are so fucked I probably wouldn't have been able to work up the nerve to even introduce myself.
>>148895423
>but that's Hisao and they had known one another for a while by then
He only spoke to her in class like twice and played a game of chess. Besides, I'm sure your sultry baritone would put her at ease.
>>148895317But could you handle when she inevitably distances herself?
>>148896002
It would most likely hurt me, but I could understand her reasoning. I wouldn't hold it against her, but we would absolutelyget the happy ending.
>>148896316
But you can't run...
>>148896582
If I let that stop me from getting my Emi, then I'm a rather poor person. Sometimes, just sometimes, you need to do damage to yourself to reach the goal. Like a long distance runner.

>>148898679
I am, yes thank you. I found some work within the Administration Dept of the CRC [Carbon Reduction Commitment], it's government work so it's steady too.
However, I'm not sure I'm ready to let someone else into my life at the minute.
>>148899162
Well, Friend, there's plenty of people out there when ever you're ready.
>>148899162
That's your decision, but if you wait for an ideal, you're going to be waiting for a long time.
>>148899414
Oh I'm sure there is. I just don't feel up to it is all. All good things, in due time.
>>148899573
>if you wait for an ideal, you're going to be waiting for a long time.
Absolutely. Though, I have no intentions of waiting for the ideal person. When I feel more inclined towards returning to the world of romance, I'll do so with an open mind. The chances of finding the ideal person are very slim, but someone kind and accepting that is willing to love should suffice.
>>148899864
Tell the truth Limpybro. Are you over her?
>>148900301
God no. Not at all, I've just come to terms with the situation.
>>148900517

You shouldn't be out and about with such a fever.
>>148902023
G'night, dood.
>>148901765
I hear ya senpai.
The girl I'm currently with (long distance, currently) is a kinda mix between Misha and Shizzle
She's bubbly, goofy, and loud like Mish, but she's got Shizune's wit and biteshe also fucks like a champ like Shizzle
Can't wait to hear back down to see her

this thread sure took a nosedive

No, alright, I know!
>>148903508
Yea. I'm still kickin'. Missed a bunch of threads thanks to new employment.
I ain't got no new stories to tell, given that I've been away from her going on two months now, but we're still in touch.
>That image
Lordy Lord I wish I just kept to myself on that one.
>>148903928
That's not it either!
>>148903351
Glad to see you and your lady friend are continuing things long distance.
We told you it would end up this way.
Do your best to keep things going with her.
Don't do what I did.
>>148904561
And what did you do Fluff?
>>148904645
I let distance come between me and a special girl. It's why Lilly's ending hurt me so much.
>>148904495
I love him!
>>148904768
if you lost some weight there would be less distance between you

They won't let me on planes since they won't give me seat belt extenders anymore.

We were really strong when she left, but looking back, I see that I didn't try hard enough to keep things going. I could have done more to show I wanted to make things work, but I just gave up. I should have been there for her more than I was.
For real though, Fluff, in all sincerity - why don't you try losing weight?
>>148905124
That's good. As long as you are honest with yourself and can acknowledge the mistakes you've made I believe you will make the right choices in the future.
>>148905259
I have been, never said I wasn't.
I walk around my neighborhood at least a couple miles every day, I drink water while I cut pop out of my diet and I'm replacing snacks with fruit and veggies.
I'm also keeping my meals smaller and eating more often at regular times. My doc says I've been doing very well.

Never give up.
Did Lily know Misha was gay for Shizune? And if Lilly knows, would she tell Hanako about it?
>>148907296
>Did Lily know
I believe she might've had some indication.
>would she tell Hanako
No, that would be very rude.
>>148907296
I don't know if Lilly knew Misha was in lesbian, but I wouldn't be surprised. It's hard not to miss with how Misha is so dedicated to Shizune and is the only person to stay on the Council with her. Lilly went to an all girl school and mentioned she had been confessed to before there, so she may have had some experience or exposure to that sort of thing.
When Lilly mentions she was consoling a student that Hanako overheard before approaching Lilly for the first time, I like to imagine that student was Misha telling Lilly about Shizune turning her down.
Would she tell Hanako? No.
Lilly wouldn't share someone's private information like that.
>>148907296
Lily is a very astute person and having been approached by women before I'm sure she could make the connection. I think she would tell Hanako about it as a justification of why she and Shizune are no longer friends.
>>148907883
>I like to imagine that student was Misha telling Lilly about Shizune turning her down.

>>148910882
There's a story a friend of mine won't let me live down, so I might as well share for posterity.
>Go into Sheetz to buy a bag of chips
>pay for it
>cute girl behind the counter
>"Your total is BLAH, Sir, would you like a bag?"
>>"No thank you."
>"Oh wow, your voice is so deep."
>Spaghetti begins to churn forth from my pockets
>>"Oh... uh... Heh.... Thank you."
>Get my stuff and turn around to go by my friend who's behind me in line.
>He has the biggest shit eating grin on his face
>In the parking lot
>Him: "DUUUDE! You should have seen your face! IT WAS SO RED, HOLY SHIT!"
Mine Spaghetti is a tide unending upon the Eternal Shore.

>just keep putting yourself out there
But Friend, if I get settled with someone that'll mess up the math and leave some other poor sod to be forever alone...
>>148912840
Life isn't fair, Castron. The worst thing you can do is not even try.
>>148912840
It's like you haven't been listening to Kenji.
They out number us, man!
101:100
>>148912960
But at least that hurts less. The devil you know, and what not.
>>148913081
I've been listening, but if you factor in Homosexual Relationships, polygamous relationships, birthrates by gender and death rates, then at any given point in time there are a odd number of eligible people in the world. Meaning, if I single myself out, then that means there are an even number of people out there, everyone will have their match!
So I'll take the hit, so you all can be happy. Don't make my sacrifice be in vein though, go out and find your match.
>>148913609
>But at least that hurts less.
Y'know, for someone who talks a big game about being a man and doing what you've gotta do because you've got to do it. You seem to be failing pretty hard on the 'going out and making little Castrons' front.
>>148913609
But you're forgetting people in similar situations as you. You must factor in other people who single themselves out at the same time you are.
Well met, friends!
Keepin' happy tonight?
>>148879914
No use for 'em here, we're a nordic family, we're not bothered by cold! We actually gave away our wood stove not long ago.

Goodnight, man.
>>148913609
You do realize that fish are always in the sea man?
If we took one fisherman away, the numbers changed would be unnoticeable.
So go for what you want, and stop saying it's a sacrifice for someone, cause it's not.
>>148913609
I'm already planning on living with nobody, you need to adjust your numbers!
>>148914432
Hey, you want me to dig a ditch? Just point where I need to plant the shovel. You want me to break some rock? I'll bring my own hammer. You want me to fight a bear? I'll at least ask if I can have a knife.
But TALK to a woman?Beeeeh
Pain is fleeting, Death has no sting, but Words? They hurt forever. Please don't remind me about having kids. I'm the last of my name, so that makes it hurt extra.I wouldn't make a good husband/dad anyway.
>>148914448
They're accounted for. Every year on the winter solstice we meet upon the hills outside of a small nameless shire in the old country. And we fight to the death.. Used to have a pretty big turn out.
>>148915112
Shhhh! You'll break the illusion.
>>148915345
Me too.Wanna be roommates?
Question KSG, which Katawa would you want as your roommate?
>>148915504
Kenji. Never get a female roommate if you value your sanity.
>>148915613
I think Hanako wouldn't be that big of a bother. If she has any qualms, it's not like she'll address them or anything, she'll just accept it and let it be. Then again, that makes you ameanie headand a bad roommate.
>>148915413
>You'll break the illusion
Don't bullshit me, or yourself man.
I feel like you wanna give up, but that shit hurts more than trying and failing.
So do us both a favor, and have a little confidence.
>Hey, you want me to dig a ditch? Just point where I need to plant the shovel. You want me to break some rock? I'll bring my own hammer. You want me to fight a bear? I'll at least ask if I can have a knife.
You think as I do, Castron.
I'm eternally helpful towards others, but they gotta clearly define what they want. I love doing odd jobs like those you desribed, too, very much.
>>148915504
I'd be delighted! Where you at?
>question
Well, roomie-wise, Rin is still a solid option, I wouldn't mind Kenji either.
>>148915413
>I wouldn't make a good husband/dad anyway.
Neither I nor anyone here believes that for a second.
>>148915504
Rooming exclusively? As in never dating?Hanako
>>148915958
>Where you at?
Canadia, by the International Igloo and Moose Reserve.
>>148915980
Well I mean if you spend enough time with them, one thing could lead to another. Perhaps a friends with benefits situation? Emi would be down with that. But dating is not a must, you can just be roomies platonically.
>>148916439
I've got natural resistance to cold.
If you're serious at all, I wouldn't mind living there. It sounds like a good job.
>>148916439
>friends with benefits situation
What kind of scoundrel do you take me for?
>>148915952
>have a little confidence
Couldn't I just like... Fight the bear? That's still an option and my brain-grapes are telling me it would probably end better in the long run.
>>148915980
I honestly want nothing more in this world than to settle down and have a family. And yet here I am, coming up with shitty excuses for why I can't grow a pair and just fucking talk to women. Very nice.
>>148916883
>Fight the bear?
As much as we all would love to see that, no.
It seems a tad risky.
>>148916883
>Fight the bear
No idea what that means man, but I'm trying to tell you to not give up on anything.
I know you can work hard, just don't let yourself get down.
I can tell you're strong, but you let somethings bother you too much. So please work past that.
>>148917221
Which Katawa could beat a bear in a fight and how?
>>148917221
>It seems a tad Risky
So's talking to women. At least the bear will be forward about its intent to kill you.
>>148917325
>No idea what that means.
It harkens back to my previous post. My brain has me convinced that fighting a bear is far easier than it is to try and form a relationship or even talk to women face to face.
>>148917367
I'm putting my money down on Misha.
>>148917367
That's entirely unrealistic.
If we want anyone to have a chance at winning, we gotta bring in Mutou, and even with that it's assuming full scientific experience and a solid plan laid out ahead of time.
>>148917367
>>148917367
>Which Katawa could beat a bearThe track team leader
>>148917505
>my previous post
I see now.
But, again, my point is to work past your insecurity or lack of confidence.
I know someone who gave up, and I can't let someone else do the same now. So I won't stop until you try.
>>148917505
>At least the bear will be forward about its intent to kill you.
I can't argue that point.
I'd give that bear a proper fight, though. For what it's worth.

>>148917367
I got my money on Miki.
>>148917837
>I have a hard time believing anything the guy from California has to say on 'a natural resistance to cold.'
So would every last person here! Tell that to my Spanish teacher who freaked out because I came to school wearing almost nothing in the middle of winter, only for him to grasp and shake my wrist and yell out in total shock, 'You're warm!!!'
Years of situations like that, me dressing as conservatively as possible, and everyone else being so bundled up and puffy. A couple of teachers even took pity on me and donated their coats, seeing me so exposed every day, I couldn't convince them I really didn't need it, the cold didn't really matter to me.
I never really minded the cold much. It's made me look weird at times. I'd love to go to colder places, places where I could truly test my tolerance.
>>148917367

Being happy can be easy man, it's just most happiness doesn't last. That's why I think people should try to create happy memories.
We can at least give each other something to look back on, rather than just have nothing the whole time.
Just played katawa shoujo for the first time on emis route. Got the good ending.
Wow, I havent felt this way in a long, long time. And by that, I mean I havent actually been sad that the story ended when it ended, even if it ended on a good note.
I miss the characters alot :/
Worst part is, i started again for Rins route, and I see emi all the time in her route, so I feel bad whenever I do.

Thanks. I last left right after the track meet from Rins perspective. Its interesting to see how he doesnt react nearly the same way in this route as in Emis, but that makes sense.
It also didnt mention her limp? Can we assume that because there was no Hisao, she didnt run as badly, therefore no limp?
Ill go play some more and report in.
>>148920661
>Man, why can't being happy be easy as knife fighting a bear or biting off a finger?.
I feel that. I'd fight a bear for a decent life. I'd probably feel bad though, the bear doesn't deserve it.

>And by that, I mean I havent actually been sad that the story ended when it ended, even if it ended on a good note.
I want you to know that you are not alone. Many of us felt that, in any route.
>I miss the characters alot :/
I feel that. I miss them, too. I'd love to see them arranged in more situations, anything, really.
>Worst part is, i started again for Rins route, and I see emi all the time in her route, so I feel bad whenever I do.
That's a natural reaction, tons of people do that. Don't feel obligated to rush into Rin, take more time to consider your Emi feelings.
For anything you need, we're here for you.
>>148921120
All things considered, it's great to see you around.
To answer your question a bit better, we've had progress on the Alpha, a lot of filling in the blanks was done, but no, there is no dedicated person to it and the status is questionable as always.
I hope that answered any concerns you might have. If you have anything else, don't hesitate to ask me.
>>148921563
Did any of the KS/b/ guys end up here? There are a few I would like to catch up with like murderbro and tea. I would like to help with the alpha but Im just busy between my dead end job and looking for work on top of projects. I might work on getting a linux envlope for the game installer once im done with my rails project through.
Which leads me to a question , JRPG, 3 or 4 character party?

But first I have to fall asleep.

Are we talking about the social anxiety or the tick? Because fire dealt with the tick just fine.
>>148921563
>the bear doesn't deserve it
You don't know that, the bear could be a jerkor having an existential crisis.
https://youtu.be/jxepnIG1yQQ
I don't have any pets, so fleas aren't that big of a worry.I still have a flea bomb canister in my cabinet though, fuck those things.
I could just be speaking out of ignorance, but compared to Emi's route, He seems really depressed. He's never smiling now, but it seemed every other second he was in the Emi route.
Strange, I hope it changes.
>>148922108
>Did any of the KS/b/ guys end up here?
From what I've seen, most people there just slipped under the watch here. We got a lot of KS/b/ here, naturally as they have helped us tons in the past, I'll let them speak for themselves if they want to.
>I would like to help with the alpha but Im just busy
Alpha work seems slow as it is, they might be able to find a place for you.
> JRPG, 3 or 4 character party?
As an oldschool motherfucker, I say 5.
>>148922146
Having a plan is important, it's good to know you have one. May you have a restful sleep.
>>148922191
Nah man, if a bear starts shit, it probably has something to do with their territory. Bears don't go out of their way to fuck people's shit up and I respect that.
>>148922595
Well, what route are you in? All of the routes have pretty strong differences, that's part of what I like about it.
>>148922869
Sorry. Forgot to reply to my old comment. Im in Rins.
>>148922595
I feel like Hisao changes his personality a bit depending on the route, which makes sense if you support nurture in "Nature vs. Nurture". This is what you get when you try to date Ms. Moody
>>148922954
But the context is lost to me. My apologies, but you're going to have to give me a review.
>>148923146
Hm. Well, basically throughout Emis aec, even if Hisao was emotionally on a rollercpaster, he was happy until the dad times popped up and he had that talk with her. Always smiling
In rins it seems that hes always gloomy, and Rin comments repeatedly he hasnt even so much as smiled.
Im not done with rins though.
>>148923324
Be warned, her bad endings are hear wrenching.
>>148922869
5 would be intresting but im not sure if I could get the hardware to support that as I hope it will be about 1k games at a time wtih 2 players each and that a lot of bandwidth. Im thinking of starting wtih 3 then adding the option of diffrent deck builds and "rooms" for more characters. I still have to build the engine though but ill be doing so with this this in mind.
>>148923324
For example, when he received the Iwanako letter in Emis arc, he was happy every day, even if he was somewhat troubled.
In this arc, he's depressed as shit and feels empty after reading that latter, and regrets not being with Iwanako
>>148922191
>social anxiety or the tick
The tick, obviously. Lyme disease is a real thing you know.
>>148923324
First, bear in mind that the routes were done by different writers, and that there is planned intention in the routes being 'different' from each other.
And so, Emi's and Rin's routes have entirely different writers, so some disparity between them is understandable.
Strongly agree with Hisao's lame-brained-ness in Emi's route. I think many people here would line up with that, and also agree about Hisao's general stupidity in that scene.
>In rins it seems that hes always gloomy
The route tries to take an odd direction where he's attentive of the projects Rin is doing.
If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask.
>>148923775
Whoa, you branched out a lot, there. I was just kidding, but, do you wanna make a game?

Kek donr worry.
Anyways, if anything this Rin arc at least lets it sink in that Emi really doesnt change her behavior when they start dating, outside of fucking.
I guess emi will emi on until the emi of time.

Hello everyone, new poster here.
I just finished the last of the five paths yesterday. I went in blind and got a good ending the first time and it hit me so hard that I looked up spoiler-free walkthroughs for the rest of the good endings since I don't think I could take a bad ending right now.
This made me realize that I was intensely unhappy with my life and that I was suppressing/ignoring it hoping that it would go away on its own, and I don't think I can do that anymore. So I'm going to try and fix it.
If anyone wants to chat about anything I'll be posting here fairly regularly now and I'll jump in when I feel it's appropriate.
Regardless, I hope you all have a good day and a good week.
>>148929525
>>148929662Emi was that first endingI think I'd have to choose Lilly if I had a gun to my head though
>>148929525

Welcome aboard, here's to a self improvement because, well, that's what we do here for a large part.
>>148929419

Bad move! How will you ever know now?
In any case,
>This made me realize that I was intensely unhappy with my life and that I was suppressing/ignoring it hoping that it would go away on its own, and I don't think I can do that anymore. So I'm going to try and fix it.
A lot of people came to a similar conclusion, after the feels. Just so you know, you're not alone. The past watches you.
>If anyone wants to chat about anything I'll be posting here fairly regularly now and I'll jump in when I feel it's appropriate.
That's awesome! I look forward to chatting later!
>>148929832
Its been awhile since ive been in KSP circles but I still remember a few of the good sites. im supprised its still up.
>>148929818
Thank you for the welcome! I'm going to start running now (I've tried before and could never consistently stick to it). Hoping that the summer weather and a different mindset will help. I think if I can just stick with it for three weeks or so I'll be set.
I think I'm also going to try online dating sites that friends have recommended to me. They've had success with them and I don't meet a ton of people I'd be interested in dating in my line of work, so any opportunity to meet more people will be great.
>>148929832
I don't know if I have any desire to see the bad endings. I've made a lot of effort over the last few years to reduce my exposure to negativity (which has been especially difficult over the last year or so with everything going on in the world). Maybe once I've bounced back in a few weeks I'll go through them for completeness' sake.
>>148930252
>I've made a lot of effort over the last few years to reduce my exposure to negativity
So I'll assume you have some kind of a story. Usually people that end up here have a story to tell. Would you like to tell us yours?
>>148930252
check out emi's couch to 5k image. it will help.
>>148930594
I'll give the TL;DR version.
-Bullied as a kid, mostly because I didn't fight back - I just wanted to be friends with everyone even though I was a little awkward, as kids can be at times. Still had friends and stuff though.
-All boys' high school (dad went there and I had no choice even though I wanted to go elsewhere), completely stunted my social development. Made some great friends but I still feel my life would have turned out significantly different had I gone to the other school.
-Basically learned how to be a functioning member of society in college, which means I missed out on most of the good times people look back on college fondly for because I was going through social growing pains and constantly fucking up (and learning from it).
-Severe confidence/self-esteem issues into my mid-late 20's (I'm 29 now), in significant part because I was still a virgin, but I could put on an act well enough to get a few dates that never really went anywhere.
-Stumbled (not literally) into a girl that ended up being basically my first romantic experience, lost my virginity, etc. We were basically semi-long-distance FWBs (she had lots of friends and family near me so she would visit fairly often), but we did get pretty lovey-dovey. However, I was basically a rebound and so she wasn't willing to take it further than that. She broke it off about a year ago. I have no regrets and am thankful it happened though, and hold no ill will towards her.
Basically, I spent the first 25-27 years of my life wondering what was wrong with me and whether I was a dysfunctional human being that was destined to die alone. Wallowing in self-pity, etc. With some positive events happening in the last 2 years and the support of a very close friend (and now KS) I feel like I'm finally on the right track.
I realize now that TL;DR was a lie.
>>148930964
Couch to 5k is actually the program I've been trying to stick to! I will definitely check that out, thanks for the heads-up.
Hey ksg! How are you all tonight?

May I ask what the next chapter you're working on belongs to?
>>148932762
Doing pretty good seeing as its 3:30 AM.
Good to hear you're having a good time writing. I've always wished I could write, but I could never get the hang of it. As for listening, enjoying a bit of Infected Mushroom.
https://youtu.be/Cxov0BQ2fpE
I've heard that listening to music with lyrics can actually hamper your ability to write, what with the words getting into your head and losing your train of thought and all that. Do you not have any problems with that?

>>148933617
I see. Not my cup of tea, but that's alright.Lilly is my girl, but I seriously question whether my love of horrible puns would cause us to fight. I would like to think I would not be a shithead about it if I were actually in that situation though. I'd probably still slip up with using sight-related figures of speech every once in a while like Hisao, though.
>>148933779
<3

We're all really friendly here, so I'm sure you'll enjoy it!Not that you have any choice, once you start you can never leave
I think that's a real problem for all of us, a lot of people make jokes about uncomfortable things to cope with them and make them normal. Hey, she evem jokes about it herself a few times, cause she really doesn't see it as a weakness, so I think she'd enjoy someone who didn't try to pity her for it!
>>148933954
That is actually hilarious lmfao

><3
GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
>>148934068
No! Stop that! YOU STOP THAT RIGHT NOW!
>>148934141
>Hard to say given that the puns are intentional/
They weren't intentional originally. I didn't realize what I was saying in that context until I finished typing the sentence, at which point I chuckled a bit at the fact that both figures of speech I used were so oddly appropriate to Lilly.
I was just using them as regular figures of speech initially.
>>148934068
Mhmm! I'm into that sort of lifestyle, and KS hit me really hard. After a few years, even.
I started writing a normal fic, but I haven't really shown to many people that, but got blah with it and decided to be the change I wanted to see in the world and make something I very rarely saw, good fatawa content.
I've commissioned a number of images to go with the story I'm writing, and interacting with people about it's really nice and honestly fun.
I'm writing chapter 7 right now, just hit page two, and will likely churn out 18 or so tonight.
>>148934141
I never claimed to be pure lol I know it is what it is.
>>148934407

Well, my Friends, it's 4 AM. I'm going to finish my glass of milk then head to bed.
I hope you all have a good morning, a fine day, a peaceful evening, and a night filled with dreams of your respective waifu or other such love. And remember, each and every one of us is on this derailed train ride we call Life, all that waits for us is dust and ash, but maybe if we try hard enough, we can enjoy the fall together. So look to the person beside you, hold their hand, and let them know you're there for them, make this ride a little better. Be nice, be happy, because if you're not, well, I just hope your family has some photographs of ya because I'm not going to be gentle.
Love you.
>>148934286
Oh, you were talking about those.
She was quite clear on the matter of 'don't change your speech on my behalf'. I would hardly consider them puns, unless you intend them as puns, then you're just being rude.

I dunno what it is, but it's simply attractive to me. I've been with woman who were skinny as a twig and fat as a cow, but I like the bigger women. Chubby is definitely amazing, but the thing about the fiction is you don't have to deal with all of the harsh realities of fats, only the good or wide-heh-ly hot and fun parts. In real life, I want someone to be active and play and adventure with, but I know what my mind finds hottest and its the fats.

Friend, I haven't been able to sleep for years now, even back when I wasn't a sedentary piece of garbage and had a physically grueling job. My brain won't shut up when I lay down, and no matter how tired I am I just can't fall asleep. At least when I take enough of the medicine I just clonk out without realizing it.
I've tried looking for melatonin based sleep aids, but the only thing people around here sell over the counter is Diphenhydraminewhich fucks with my heart rate.
I'm going to go try and sleep again, either it'll work or I'll just watch the sun come up. Goodnight for the second time, friends.

>Friend, I haven't been able to sleep for years now
See you around, man. Here's hoping you see this message many hours later.
Wow.
I talked about missing Emi very badly right as her route ended.
I just did the Rin route, and got the good end, and hm.
All seems to be good, I dont feel as sad as when Emi's ended, but I enjoyed this arc as much or maybe more than hers.
This one was very frustrating however, I feel like if anyone tried to voice act KS. They wouldnr be able to do this part at all.
I sort of imagined her as Rei, but that didnt work.
I feel content, no longing or sudoku attempts like after Emi's.
I genuinely am glad I didnt get the shitty ending, I dont think i could handle that.
Oh! Something I realized earlier in this Arc.
Hisao is doomed to die in every arc outside of Emi's. He otherwise never gets the excersise in, and with Arrtthymia, since I assume he doesnt use a pace maker (meds), he'd be pretty fucked big time.
One heart attack, you can survive.
Two, is pushing it
Three, almost no way.
The chance of getting a second after having a first is significantly higher, and the running was the only thing really saving him.
One regret on this arc. We dont learn about Rin's family. Or how she was as a kid/etc. It was relevant to the main conflict, but I wouldve liked to see how her parents interacted with a girl like Rin.
Overall, 10/10 would fingerbang in an over 17 year old dusty artist apartment filled with paintings.
Also I was the guy talking about just starting the rin arc earlier, so what a rollercoater these 1-4 AM hours have been
>>148937959
See you around. Thanks for hangin' out.
>>148938260

You're not the first to post this, pretty much verbatim.

Great album! I need to check out more space-rock and stuff of that ilk - I was really into Spacemen 3, Galaxie 500 and bands like that through the guy at my local shop years back. Really dreamy, good shit.
Been listening to house and techno this morning, and a bit of grime:

Every girl has a tonally opposed arc compared to their friend. Emi’s route places herself and Hisao in a fairly straightforward boyfriend/girlfriend dynamic in which both of them are unambiguously improved by their relationship to the other, but Rin’s route is an emotionally complicated story of two people who are both attracted to and repelled by one another, and their relationship causes each of them joy and suffering in equal amounts.
Sleepy, sleepy, whats everyone doing?

I would imagine Miki and Suzu to be a more downplayed parallel of Emi and Rin's arcs. I think Miki would be the bantering tomboy typewho resents the fact people treat her like a guyand Suzu would be a shy guarded girly girlwho struggles with finding any sort of passion in her life.

Shes not autistic in the sense of "hurr durr, time to shitpost on /v/"but autistic in the sense that she genuinely cant communicate with people well enough to convey her point.
>>148973251
She lacks empathy, doesn't listen when people talk to her, she doesn't make eye contact when she speaks...she definitely fits on the spectrum.
>Rin is literally autistic
Canon
>>148974140
Can someone display autistic traits without being autistic?
>>148974140
From the way Rin acts and seeing as I know from experience I would say she has mild Aspergers.
>>148974358
>>148974392
Again, the autism spectrum is really really broad. Having autism doesn't necessarily mean you spend your days in a corner stacking blocks while drooling heavily and baneposting on /tv/. You could be diagnosed with autism and not really act autistic at all. The reason I think Rin qualifies as autistic is the lack of empathy, tunnel hearing, and anxious breakdowns.

>>148975006
>forgetting /v/ and /vg/
>>148974967
The reason I thought she wasnt is because somewhere I remember devs saying school only dealt with physical problems, not mental disability.
>>148975163

>>148975201
Have Aspergers is as much a disability as being allergic to shellfish.
She is probably low enough to not have any major outstanding problems with it
>>148974967
Rins problems are not with lack of empathy but how to show it. She can and is very empathetic but she just doesn't know how to explain her feelings. Her tunnel hearing and anxious breakdowns are also a part of that. She is a skyhead so going on tangents is normal for her. I have anxious breakdowns when going to the supermarket.

I want a KS sequel set in a parallel Yamaku that only deals with mental illnesses.
The five qt girls would feature:
Multiple personalities disorder
OCD
Extreme separation anxiety
Autism
and extreme delusions of grandeur
I wonder what MC-kun woul be in for. Maybe paranoia or something like that. Being in the perspective of someone with a mental illness could be an extremely interesting read.

>>148976151
Rin is surprisingly easy to understand once you realize that she struggles with herself as much as Hisao does. She knows she alienates people and can't say what she means, so she paints and doesn't name any of her works because she doesn't want to fuck up the message she's sending. She likes Hisao but is frustrated that he doesn't understand her like everyone else yet also regrets not being the kind of girl he wanted her to be. She hates the kind of person she is and believes that if she continues to change she will only disappoint and alienate others further, until Hisao showed he had the patience and care to be there for her regardless of what she was in that moment.

HNNNNNNNNNGH
Anons. I have never arted before. In my life, the best drawings I could do were stick figures.
So im the guy from yesterday who kept asking all the shit about Rin as I was playing her arc after Emis, and wew lad I attemptef to draw Rin.
Her hair is cancer, and im not really sure what under her titties is, other than I was trying to emulate the normal Rin look, and that has a whole bunch of lines n shieet there
>>148979774
A lot of people say they didn't like Rins story because it felt like Hisao wasn't the one to help Rin with her problem. Meanwhile it was more like Hisao helped Rin stop viewing herself as the problem. Rins story was about the want to not be oneself. Nomiya wanted her to change for him. So did Hisao until he realized it wasn't trying to understand Rin. You don't understand someone. You live with them. You don't get inside every friends head. You just take them as they come.
>>148980691
Glad you like it.
>>148980723

>>148980723
looks a bit like a vampire due to her nose, but we all started somewhere. if you want to art more practice tons and try stuff like Loomis' Fun with a Pencil.
>>148980723
You need to define her nose more, two slits makes her look like a corpse! Also chicken scratching is a habit you need to quickly forget.
Otherwise it's good, it's clear that you have a good eye for shapes already despite never drawing before
>>148980889
Weird ass phone makes every picture I take rotate in Mimi, for some stranger reason.
>captcha: select all butterflies
>>148981153
Her nose as drawn originally was a literal line, and some shade to the right of it.
I sort of tried to emulate that effect but failed and settled for two slits, r.i.p.

>>148980723
Way better than what I could make. Don't get discouraged because your first sketch isn't a Picasso.
>>148980736
I view it as akin to Hanako's in that regard. Both stories have Hisao take on a complex (white-knighting, unhealthy idealization) that only drives them apart. They are also the only arcs in which Hisao responds to Iwanako's letter.
