Specifics depend on the monster you play.
In general, be as much of a coward as you can be in stage 1, but take chances where they present themselves.
When you're stage 2 go to an advantageous location to be domed and try to get as many strikes as you can without loosing too much health.
Do not evolve to stage 3 unless the enemy team has at least 4 strikes in total or 1 member is gone with a long respawn timer, they'll camp the relay and you'll be fucked.

Honestly his strong point is reviving dead bodies, WITHOUT a strike. When you're a monster you don't see an icon anymore for those who died so its easy to lose track of them, and with invis you might never know a revive is going on in a spot. At least thats whats happened to me.

Claw is fine but it suffers the same thing the other perks do. Theyre not feedingspeed/movespeed and theyre not cooldown.

If the game ever takes a turn towards more stealth gameplay you might not need the feeding speed perk and can afford the silver claws but nothings going to beat cooldown

Which is odd because playing as a Monster is something you cant really do in any other game, so you'd think they'd give a shit

Planet scanner should stop working after initial contact with the monster. It's nearly impossible to retreat and get away otherwise. You can do it but it's really hard

Overall the game is a 6/10, has some cool ideas but the developers have a really clear bias and it's been there since it came out. Don't expect it to ever be fixed. They'll keep nerfing the monsters and buffing/adding more hunters.

So like the jetpack perk on hunters, what's one gold perk for all monsters that is worth maxing?

it's almost impossible to lose the hunters once they find you the first time. sure the monsters are quick but the maps are so fucking open and comparatively small that it's not really hard to chase it down. plus they seem to be ovals instead of circles or squares so you can just herd the fucker to one end and corner it.

it's so fucking stacked in the hunter's favor at any stage of the game it's insane. the monster has to take time to feed and evolve, but taking time is a hunter win condition. every monster save goliaths and behemoth cannot afford to get caught stage 1 so they need to sneak, but lmao planet scanner. and even when you're stage 3 and are supposed to be fucking godzilla incarnate, they just camp the shit out of the relay with hank and rval, and unless you got lucky strikes early you're fucked.

Cabot is fairly weak. His railgun is alright for damage but you're a support. His damage amp is only ever useful when the monster's choosing to stay after a dome. His orbital ability is basically a long delay tracking dart, so essentially only good when your trapper is braindead. Hell, everything about cabot screams "My team fucking sucks so let me help them do their job a bit." He can easily help the trapper and assault get their shit together, but then you just have a team who essentially has a "good" trapper and assault, but no support.

Bronze health regen is useful for when you've taken some damage but can't afford to use healing nades on yourself, but really it's a tossup between regen, jetpack dodge and movespeed. But Silver and Gold perks MUST be reload speed with Caira IMO.

There is a bug that carried over from alpha way back when the game wasn't released at the beginning of 2015.

There is basically a way you can see what the monster or hunters picked in the selection screen which allows you to counter-pick them. Not many people know about it because the game was almost dead anyway a few months after release.

Since f2p I've been refusing to pick against premades and saw a bunch of them leave in the last second. It's a good indicator that they were planning to counter-pick.

Give them 10 seconds after they use it. it has a 5s duration of speedboost and 5s of wallhacks until it enters the cooldown phase where you can refresh it. If you refresh it while in use, they wont get anything back because the ability is still "in use" make reason you can't recharge your shield the moment after you use it, since the shield bar needs to deplete all the way before you can refill it.
