Now that's out of the way, I would lean towards any to honest, I like impact phial blast element.
Adept CB is really fun

It's weird because there's more upgrade stages in general and it feels like you can craft from scratch less weapon paths.
Whereas before weapon pathing was mostly just for convenience if you saw something you liked and already had a weapon to upgrade up that branch during progression instead of having to use more materials to make it raw (except in a few instances where you needed to upgrade to a weapon).
Not only does it require you to upgrade more times before you cap out for your current progress point than before, making you spend more money and gather more materials in the process, it makes the different options less accessible by gating them behind having to do that process multiple times to find which ones you like. And there are a LOT of new weapon branches in this game.

I preferred the previous system because it made going down every different branch easy so you can experiment with what you like and feel out each path, now you have to create multiple copies of the base weapon to upgrade to do the same thing.

Maybe it's a matter of preference but it's going to take some getting used to if they stick with this new system.

What I hate most about pellet is how it feels imprecise. With Normal S you're pretty much guaranteed to hit what you want, whereas with pellet you need three hits to be stronger than a single shot of Normal 2.

You can dodge through the confusing bomb, after perfect dodging it you can linger inside it hitting the owl, you'll be immune to it for a short time. You can also adept dodge the sleep beam.

If you adept dodge the bomb, you get a few seconds of free hitting because it will try to push the dust away with its wings, as it often does, meanwhile you are right there smacking it.

Haven't gone online yet, but just go where no one's attacking and you're fine, since shells ignore resistances. Lance/GL lack super armor so it's beneficial for you to stick isolated.

It means you'll lose the opportunity of exploiting raw weak points and whatnot, but it's better than knocking everyone and being hated for it. If you're using long or wide shots, you can just shell upwards if you want.

Just be mindful and you should be fine.

So should I stick with ariel or make the switch to adepth? I'd rather be good with one than ok with both.

Hey /mhg/, I just started MHGen and I decided to go all LR with weapons I didn't touch in 4. So, any tips for a newbie Bow user? I do alright, but more often than I would like to, the animation locks me and I'm to late to dodge, and this is not because I abuse the second shot (that one with A). Would adept fix this? Depends on the weapon. Sometimes you have to time your attacks before you land, sometimes you don't.

Fun fact: If you return the circle pad to neutral before vaulting, you'll go straight up instead of up and over, and if you move it in a direction before attacking, you'll re-orient to face in that direction. Depending on the weapon.

Turn the triple Hunter Art's into Single. You shouldn't need to look at more then any single one at any time anyway. Including if you're on a NEW or got the circle pad pro and using the ZL/ZR as Hunter Art 2&3. Just keep an ear out for that 'ZING' is all.
Then put the map back on the second one ( with the combo and item ). That's what I use, works just fine.

Play Wide or Long Shot Striker and fuck shit up. I'm not really seeing much worth in anything else but Adapt, and that's just because you get the hit & reload after a just guard. The Gunlance hunter Art's are all great, and makes Wyvernfire almost a unnecessary, including that will kill your heat vs an Art that builds up heat.
