League is the first video game I've played, yes. Because Diamond is shit and the players I face in normal matches are even more shit, I've found it's just easier to dump my load onto their ADC when Soraka is all the way in the back. Yeah, she can ult to heal him, but if your ADC gets caught and focused by all five members of the enemy team, it's not worth it to blow a global ult on just one person, and it's not worth it to try and run up to him to heal him because then you'll get caught out too.

Nobody really picks Soraka nowadays. It's mostly "Sona mains" now. The only time you get a Soraka player is when you face a Soraka one-trick. I once got to play against consensual clown when he was smurfing and I must say I've never seen somebody support even a quarter as well as he does.

In lane, maybe. You're supposed to play like a bitch for the first few waves. When you back for the first time and get your Lost Chapter, then you become a nuisance who's almost impossible to outfarm and outsustain. Once you get your Morello's and Ionians, you become an AoE assassin that deals true damage. If people try to chase you, use your QW combo to slow them down. If they're right on top of you, use QEW combo to nuke the shit out of them.

When you get a double W off on at least two people, that's when you ult. You're gonna nuke the shit out of them for about 1000 true damage, along with an addition 400 or so true damage every 2 seconds.

Vel'Koz is the new Annie, except without hard CC. Vel'Koz and Viktor are some of the few mages that can solo carry games in the current meta.

Also You have to itemize based on your elo too. When I get to like Plat I'll maybe rush BoRK for Vayne, but based on the team comps I see and how much I need to split, rushing Youmuu always is the better choice. Plus it avoids the whole bad early good late thing with Vayne. Now I have good early, mid, and late. The Youmuus active needs to be nerfed or the damage on the item needs to be nerfed before I give it up. Plus BoRK doesn't deal as much damage considering people love squishies in this ELO.
