Theres actually a risk/reward for PvP, making it fun and exciting, and its skill based, as opposed to the person who has the highest gear wins.

It was an oldschool sub style game, like WoW, or Everquest.
Also, DFO getting top gear didn't take too long at all, a private server just relaunched, and a group already is able to make inferno armour.

You'll need to be fully geared to clear end game content. To give you an idea of the cost.

A good PvE weapon (not the best) is a Yuria. To buy that at +15, it costs around 20-30 million. Prices might have dropped since last update, but I've stopped playing, so I'm not sure.
Now, you have to get every single armour piece to +15, so its around that cost for each armour piece.
Then you need your jewelry, which is even more expensive if you want the pri version of it.

But wait, THERES MORE!
They released +20, so if you want to be viable for world bosses, you'll need that shit too, and the new content will require that better gear. That shit is so expensive, only the top guilds have it. It'll cost hundreds of millions for a single thing, maybe even more.


Now, you CAN fight mobs without the absolute best gear. It'll take a long ass time, and it'll be hard, but it should be doable. You'll need at least +15 everything though.
The problem is this game is 100% gear dependent. Play skills/level don't do much in PvE, just your accuracy rating.

Even PvP is RNG. You would think with an action combat game, if you were good enough to actually close the distance on your enemy, and get the attack off, it would hit him. But nope, theres an accuracy check, and its pretty gay.

It'll take your forever to get it to +15. The vast majority were juuuuusst able to get it to +15 before Valencia came out, and then its gone to +20, with it being at least 6x harder to get that +5 than going from 1-15.

I'm going to assume you're new since you had trouble hitting +15. Anyway there is an accuracy cap you want to hit for pvp. This is accomplished a few ways. To get 100% accuracy against most players, you want a liverto/zarka weapon and bheg's gloves. Since not everyone has access to those using the accuracy offhand with liverto or some accuracy jewelry gives you a high hit percentage.

+15 takes like a week to get tops if you go to world bosses, do your daily and weekly boss scrolls and grind every day during that week.

The chance for +16-20 and accessories with max failstacks are as follows. 52.50% for pri with 25 failstacks, 33.75% for duo with 35 failstacks, 27% for tri with 45 failstacks, 25% for tet with 90 failstacks and 20% for pent with 124 failstacks. The system is set up so getting pri and duo are obtainable to most with tri being the soft cap for most players. While tet and pent are meant for people who wish to keep advancing over a long period of time. The new +20 gear system was also designed like this, Tri weapon and armour gives the most AP/DP gain and then it lowers again for tet and pent. This way players who can only obtain tri aren't unable to compete with players going for tet and pent.

The Gear can be rng if you choose to upgrade it by rng, Up to +15 weapons and armour can be forced to enchant at the cost of more stones and durability. This is not usually a good idea because if you failstack properly it usually takes far fewer durability and stones. You can also use cron stones to save your accessories or gear from blowing up or sometimes downgrading. Cron stones are expensive though so it's only good to use on rare or cheap items. Not to mention you could simply grind for silver and purchase all your gear as none of it is bound, One of the highest geared warriors on Edan purchased all his gear.

Gathering is great to focus on because at higher ranks you get a lot more rare items from gathers, access to more materials and way reduced energy costs, making you self reliant for other professions. Processing costs no energy to level up now so there is no reason not to level it up. Then the choice really comes down to alchemy and cooking. they are both massive energy dumps and require a lot of materials but, they both pay pretty well. Cooking is more sturdy pay at a lower price while alchemy is large chunks of money. Either way you can choose whatever you want an be profitable. Even fishing, hunting, trade and training to a lesser extent although those don't use large if any energy.

Well processing costs no energy now so you can do it whenever. As for gathering and cooking, you can level them both simultaniously. Set a goal for yourself in cooking like "I want to make 1000 of this recipe" then go and spend a few days gathering the materials for that recipe. Then spend the next whole day using your energy to craft it. This way you simultaneously level both professions. At least that's how I leveled alchemy and now I'm Artisan 5 gathering with Artisan 4 alchemy. Skilled 5 gathering is where you start to see higher yields and some free energy procs but, it really picks up at Professional 5. I'm not too sure about cooking but I believe it has the same thresholds where at skilled 5 you get more yield for your materials with occasional free procs and even more at professional 5. In Artisan the yield doesn't seem to go up but, you spend so little energy that you can gather or craft a lot more.

What is the best way to get relics/forbidden books so I can get more memory fragments?

Yeah, don't worry about it. Gear in the game is really easy and generally cheap to obtain (excluding boss gear). Enhancing it is the hard and expensive part. Just be sure to keep the basteer weapon when you get it since you'll get quests involving it.

Because in late game it's hard to progress your character, it's not fun to grind for 3 hours just for your PRI/DUO to fail i like mmos where i can constantly progress instead of a dice roll deciding if you're behind the gear curve or ahead.

It's a thing on all hair and you only notice it more there because it's black against white. Different lighting makes it more and less obvious.

It's a stupid bug that's been around from day one and there's probably no intention of fixing it, but they are aware of it so they'll keep adding stupid feathers to outfits that accentuate the transparency for you.

Playing a sorc, I was able to get by with ~135/180 while running acc off hand.
Keep in mind sorcs have self buffs for ap/dp though which I didn't add yet.
Centaurs were a bitch to kill, for everything else you just got to make sure to not pull too many and keep an eye on your life.

only problem with basilisks is that they take very long time to kill
but centaurs and cadry are definitely no go
