Earlier editions of Beastmen were troubled but they were interesting enough - perhaps not the most competitive.

Then 6th edition ripped out most of their flavour, even removing marks completely and they just got left in the dust when 7th came round.
Glotkin resolved some major issues but to little and much to late.

Since the Empire in the GC is too small to fully do it justice, why not build a full campaign designed entirely around the Beastmen's Guerrilla war with the Empire?

Just dumping them in the GC wouldn't have done them justice, dedicating a portion of the game to a dedicated beastmen campaign set in the Drakwald does.

Beastmen is more scripted kinda like Last Roman.
Plus its 52 settlements on an enlarged map of the Empires forests. Each region looks large with fair distance between most places.

Solid size.

For those that don't buy the DLC they get essentially 3 free contents that day with the Empire hero, the lore of amber and the AI Beastmen to the campaign map. Not bad at all.

It's insane that making the Jabberslythe alone would have took the entire budget of the Age of Charlemagne DLC for Attila.

Ostland apparently meaning you'll be facing Beastmen and Chaos to the north and northwest aswell as Vampires to the east. Beastmen will also have sub factions based around the old world like the Badlands. Dwarfs are garbage in both MP and campaign, don't let the official difficulty guide fool you.

Vampire is by far the easiest faction since public order is always positive after some post-conquest stabilization, and you start the game with Mannfred+Varghulf who are basically invincible against low tier armies due to regeneration. Once you get the deathstar rolling you can take out multiple chaos stacks without a single casuality, or alternatively crash through altdorf (with a 20 stack in it) with 0 losses.

Empire has the toughest diplomacy challenge, but its late game army with demis and luminarchs can still tear through enemy armies.

Dwarfs? They can't even chase down routing armies due to low speed armies, meaning every battle is a slog involving chasing down enemies for multiple turns.

For the early game expand as fast as humanly possible and take the two vampire provinces by turn 6-7, achieve this through raising dead as much as you can, and abuse mannfred and the varghulf.
Then slow down slightly, expand southwards or eastwards (don't touch the north as they are your meatshields for chaos), rush towards crypt horrors and cairn wraiths with a necromancer levelling up in your army.
By the time you've got 4 of each your deathstar should be in action, and you can send this stack against any army and crush them. Since the AI cannot deal with deathstars, unless they have heavy artillery.
Now expand into the empire, with cheap skeleton armies defending and keeping order. The game is basically over at this point. Just let mannfred wait for chaos to come in the north and execute them.

Remember to always focus on the economy techs first, up to the vampire corruption techs. And build corrupt buildings asap in new provinces.

That's not the only way to use them, but it can be. If the reserve is cav it's easy, and if not there's no law that says you can't keep them close to a flank. You can move them to counter a threat anyway. You've yet to show any proof that you know how to play at a more advanced level than grouping the whole army and right clicking.

They add "mini campaigns" for fluff to make it look like you are getting 20 bucks worth of content, yet they are cutting costs by trashing units for each expac. Any tips for Greenskin campaign? I always stomp the enemy Orc factions but the fucking Dwarves always pick off my cities and smaller settlements. I cant defeat them in open battle because every fucking unit has armor and Orcs dont get AP until Big'uns. Also all my settlements are super unhappy and rebel so often.

Yeah, but Charlemagne was an actual different campaign compared to the grand campaign. I personally think the Beastmen campaign is just going to end up being a smaller version of the grand campaign with less faction and as such, not worth it.

I never really liked Ceaser in Gaul, because, while it did try to add some small things to keep it interesting, it was ultimately too similar to the main campaign.

I'm personally reserving judgement. So far the DLC seem kinda overpriced compared to what it offers, but I'm going to follow the streams and what not to get a good look at it and then decide if it is worth my money or if I should wait for a sale.

Oh, well thats just the way things are. Fortunately the TW Youtubers have a tendency to also mirror the complaints as the rest of the community but their content is reliably objective and offers constructive criticism that CA has taken to heart in the recent past. I know milkandcookiesTW is upset with the Beastmen exclusions and hes a Warhammer nerd and Oakley already in a video was pretty shaky with the lack of roster diversity and Heir will probably get there too.

I think with the feedback they got on the internet and with the content creators following suite they probably will add those units later and the 3rd LL. Its just unfortunate that the DLC happened before then.

Look guys here is the cold hard truth. Games don't make money from initial release anymore.

For years consumers have been expecting higher and higher priduction values while not being willing to pay more than $60 for a game generally. This is why DLC is so popular. It's an effective method to get consumers to spend their money. Right now TWWH has probably made over half of it's production cost.

So yeah. Considering how cheap we got this game in the first place and the cost of making the DLC. I think $18.99 is completely fair.
