I'm starting to think bork-Titanic is the best Xin combo. The problem with items like Guinsoo's or Wit's is, while they do make you Tankier, they don't give him a lot of burst. Titanic gives raw damage, tankiness, plus an auto-reset which synergizes well with his Q. Need to test this further.

Runes do not add diversity. They add very little, if any, strategic decision to any champion. Most of the time there is ONE set of runes for a champ and that is basically it. They are a positive grindfest.

If you make them matter then you can browbeat opponents not with skills but number boosts, if they don't matter then why have them at all? They were put into the game as IP burns when Riot was a small company that needed it. That is no longer the case. Just give the champs the stats they need to function if it so bad without runes or put them on starting items. Let's not even touch the garbage that are runes pages that have NO business near a competitive game.

Even theoretically they are "hidden power". Raw number increases with little input once the game starts. Mirror matchups should not be decided by such garbage.

If you want "matchup specific" options, that is what items and, more to the point, masteries are for. There is no good reason for runes to exist and if they were outright removed entirely from the game no one would notice except literal autists that think there was some value in min maxing that garbage.

Depends.

If you're you're playing against common tank bruisers I.E Garen, Nasus, Riven you build: Cleaver>Randuins>Mallet.

If you're playing AP Tops such as Ekko, Teemo etc. Build Maw>Banshee's>Randuins.

If you're facing hard counters such as Irelia, pantheon, Akali, Gangplank etc. build: Mallet>Sunfire>Randuins/Thornmail>Spirit Visage, basically tank items from there on. You can't fight these type of champs, they will kill you unless they just fuck up and fight you under tower or some stupid stuff like that. The only thing you can really do is beef up and hope for a possible jungle gank.

My most Common build so far is usually Cleaver>Mallet>Thornmail>Randuins>Banshee's>Boots.

For boots I usually go for Swifites because of the movement speed and being able to stick to targets better, but if they have a team with heavy ammounts of CC say 3 or more stuns+slows then I buy mercs.

I've also experimented with Bork a bit but I haven't perfected when to try and build it, but if you ever feel like you want to put some Life steal just build death's dance.

As for ruins and mastries? If you're starting out on him I'd say use grasp of undying to you get the hang of him, until you learn how to trade against people you can use Thunderlords for that highburst damage when you feel confident in trading. I've seen people use Fervor on him in higher elo, but I'm not that savy with him to start doing that just yet.

Ruins are: 3 AS quints,9 AD reds, 9 flat armor yellows, 9flat MR blues.

I played Bloodline Champions which was a game based on pure stats basically.
If an attack said you did 35 damage, you'd do 35 damage. If a shield said it would block 25 damage, it blocked 25 damage. No items, no scaling. Just skill-shots and playing good champions.

It was actually pretty fun. But I don't think league would fit that formula.

No, as in that Bloodline Champions was an arena fighter, and worked well as such. Items are needed in LoL to branch out how the game is played, and determine the pacing of lanes. Otherwise they would have to sit down and basically fine-tune the scaling on each champion. It essentially boils down to the fact that most people would just play the champions that scaled the best at all levels and it would kill diversity even more than it's current undead, raped and mutilated state.

Well at your level people are still learning the game and are trying to figure out what the hell to even do. Biggest problems people will have are actually farming and proper threat assessment. People won't be sure of how much damage they can deal or take or what other characters will do so dumb shit will happen as a result of that. Everyone starts somewhere though, as long as you're enjoying yourself you should be fine, just keep learning and try not to let shit get to you. When I was pre-30 I thought so too. Granted I don't play enough ranked in the first place to even give myself an opportunity to climb. That's my problem, I'm a coward and would rather idle away than try to advance. I didn't play ranked in Season 4 (I only did placements) and I'm not playing now. I barely played last season, I didn't even do 100 games. I don't know why the fuck I'm so apprehensive about it either there's nothing to really lose or gain which makes it even dumber. need some tips for playing adc low elo ~gold

it's gotten to the point where i just would prefer to play support so i can dictate the pace of the lane while my adc brainlessly autos on the situations i set up for him. i've always been an adc main at heart, but i cringe every time i get a syndra support who understands fuck all about wave management, power spikes, and match ups. if it's not that then it's teammates who take unadvantageous fights while i'm catching a side wave. sure some games i get that dream team where everything goes well, but i can't figure out what i'm doing so wrong. is it just impossible to impact games in a meaningful way at low elo? any light you can shed on this situation is much appreciated.

I understand that the goal when killing someone is to do it as fast as possible, but holy shit. What am I supposed to do against assassins that can 100-0 me in under 1.5 seconds

thanks for your opinions everyone, i was expecting to get flamed more actually. instead most of you agree that adc is a braindead useless role to try to be good at, especially in this meta. you have absolutely no control over the game, outside of getting lucky and winning lane with your support hard enough to pound down objectives (which is still a crapshoot unless you have a duo) and even then if the rest of the map goes to shit it is up in the air if you can even carry with a feeder top and mid, since those will always have levels on you and be able to 1 v 1 no matter how well bot went. so i guess i should just play jungle and a solo lane to climb ranks. sadly there isn't any champs i like to play mid/top that i don't just get buttfucked in since i don't really know the matchups since i've spent the past 3+ years spamming bot for the most part. i miss when ekko was strong because i used to play him a ton in the jg and it translated pretty well to top. is ekko still good or should i just learn irelia/fiora now?
