Challenge can give you Y2 versions of the House of Wolves exotics as a random drop at the end. Its also good for farming with 3oC.

Nightfall has a chance to drop exotics but its not a guarantee. King's Fall has 2 exotic drop chances I believe.

Your best bet for exotics is to grind strikes or PvP with 3 of Coins active. It gives you a chance to get an exotic at the end, either from the boss in the case of strikes or as a drop in the case of PvP.

If your light is 10 or more below the encounter level, you'll do much less damage and take more. Stuff like Taken Hobgoblin lasers and Acolyte Eyes hit hard no matter your light level. As you fight them more you'll better learn to fight them. For Taken Hobs, poke from cover and kill them then hide behind something. For Acolyte Eyes just focus them ASAP, they're more deadly than Taken Acolytes.

I know its a tall order and they'll probably lazy out again just bringing forward this generation's Vanguard armor, but I really really wish that factions would get proper exclusive armor, Doesn't even have to be different for every faction, but just something that can only be gotten from factions, like GC armor in XIV, just something where at a glance people can tell you're wearing a faction armor
The way it is now, its just the same armor as everything else, when you put on a shader the only difference between current gen NM armor and last-gen IB armor is the few squiggly white lines on the IB one.

Doesn't really matter for raids. Kings Fall especially is more execution focused than it is on your stats or perk load out. Most Warlocks like to max discipline and strength; Warlocks have fantastic grenades overall and some of the best melee attacks in the game.

You can max 2 at max light yes. You can have 2 max and 1 at tier 2, referred to as being Tier 12. It takes a fair bit of grinding to hit T12 and its not necessary for anything, it's more of a meta-game task to complete.

I'd focus on maxing a single subclass first but in time you want all 3 maxed. Sunsingers can self-res which can be useful as long as you don't over rely on it.

I almost finished CM with a guy using that today, it wasn't even his fault we didn't finish with him. A couple of small mistakes by guys new to their positions and a few Bungo Deaths(tm) were mostly the cause. He died exactly once and it was from being ported into the bubble and immediately being slammed twice

Honestly, nothing is "mandatory" for the Oryx fight anymore aside from a high-impact sniper rifle to quickly dispatch knights. MAYBE one Touch to keep Oryx's chest open during the detonation, since Bunghole mechanics could easily just decide "Hey, you stopped shooting for .5 seconds, time for no bombs to count"
