The BaM revamp managed to fix a lot of my complaints about the class, so I've grown rather fond of it. It's kind of mediocre damage-wise compared to the other mages though, so a lot of people dropped it when it stopped being a battleking bar battery.

if they wanted to make a 3rd bowman there is no reason not to just recycle Mercedes' DBGs; there are already three hero classes who share weapons, this creates demand for the existing DBGs, Nexon doesn't have to waste time designing new equips and can just focus on giving it a unique secondary, half the work is already done since MMs and BMs share a bunch of the same skills anyway

It's not like they took out aura functionality completely, so you can still juggle them depending on the current situation. Stick on drain aura when a party member's low on health, blue aura when the boss is about to cast some nasty debuff, weakening and dark aura for general deeps purposes. alchemists can learn alchemy as a profession and something else that they desire, and if they mix some ingredients with already existing potions, they can concoct something that's basically like rechargable throwing stars except, you know, pots.

Not really. There was gattling gun for single target, flamethrower and hammer for mobs, turret configuration for high stationary damage. It made the class feel versatile and fun. Now its literally only gattling gun. Everything else was removed or replaced with a skill that does no damage. They kept punch launcher at least but it does so little damage now that it's only usable for the kickback, which you already have drill rush for, so now it's redundantly useless.

Pre-cap Thunder Swift & Earth Dive should be your go-tos.

Breath is really only good for mobbing since you can have it up constantly with the hyper if you don't fusion right away (until the nerf of course)

Keep in mind that Battle Mage gets a lot of its damage from the Dark Lightning emblems now, so if you're not using the rush/pull or telecasting to set emblems, your damage might seem a bit lacking. But FB's hitbox is kind of garbage so you should be taking full advantage of those anyways.
It's worth noting that they did some significant buffs on mobs past 100, so things might seem a bit tougher than they used to be.
